It should be understood thus. What is the cause of the fruit and the fruit not being eaten by ghosts, both of those are. Because it is like this, there is no unreasonableness here, therefore, the so-called "seeing as reason," seeing with reason itself, how can it be abandoned? This is its synonym. Or, because everything has been abandoned. Here, what is the use of you holding on to partiality? If this is the saying of the scholar, this is not the intention of the scholar, because it has not been said anywhere. Therefore, if it is blaming the fault of self-continuity, then it is said "seeing as reason." The meaning is that, just because it is not directly said, is it not the intention? Or, will explaining it become the fault of self-righteousness? No, because explaining the meaning that is not said at all is visible everywhere. Even if you say more, what is the need? Because all the arguments mentioned in the Commentary on Valid Cognition are not directly established in the scriptures. How can it not be the fault of intention and self-assertion? Therefore, because it should be taken that which does not contradict the establishment of one's own school and can withstand detailed analysis, therefore, because it has three qualities, it is called "reason." Isn't this not established? Because it contradicts the scholar. As it is said: "Later arising is not the cause." And "All causes are prior." Is it because of this? For this, it should also be said "seeing as reason," meaning that there is nothing inappropriate at all. Thus, it is completely established in name. Relying on the previously produced cause, it is said that way. The cause itself that is going to arise, such as the moment, is the thing itself, and it is not necessarily established in name. Precisely because of this, it is not arranged closely here and there, and others also, because it can be understood only by showing the previously produced cause, so even if you clearly want the later cause, it is not shown. The cause itself that is going to arise is the cause, and it is not understood through the completely pure boundary, if you suspect that there are obstacles and incompleteness, because the nature itself that is now produced is not necessarily existent. Then, how is it the cause?

If asked why, in whatever one sees the prior and subsequent, there the establishment of the nature as cause is without defect. If one has not seen only the prior, if it were to be seen, then at that time it would be established, so there is no fault. Moreover, the teacher uses the non-manifest fruit as an example to show the relationship between the cause, which has the ability to be unimpeded, and the fruit. The relationship that is different is also because it is not the cause. Since what can be measured has been promised, why value words? Relying on the common saying, it is said that the fruit is not manifest, but only there, that is also the non-manifest cause. Therefore, the cause itself that will arise is not contradictory to the teacher. Summarizing the meaning that has been said together with the views of others, if the consciousness that can establish is the cause of producing meaning? Thus connecting, this should also mark the object of the consciousness that establishes. This is said in reliance on the views of others, because the logicians and others also promise to infer the fruit from the cause, so it is for the purpose of showing that the function of meaning is necessarily promised. If consciousness is the nature of producing meaning? Thus connecting. The meaning of "producing meaning" is that the function of meaning has been established, that is, it has become the fruit, showing its own nature of producing the fruit, this is with the intention of not being confused about its own nature. If consciousness is the fruit of producing meaning? Thus connecting. This is said considering the cause that will arise. The so-called "all" means that in whatever of the three ways, if the consciousness that can establish, or can dispel the doubt that establishes, should occur in its own time. Therefore, at the time when the function of meaning appears, although there is no doubt, how could one not understand at other times when one wants to enter? Fire exists at other times, and cold disappears at other times, that is not the meaning. Now, incidentally, it is shown that there is no doubt about dispelling doubt, here it refers to the consciousness that establishes. Because it dispels the doubt that arises about that valid cognition. That is also established, meaning through the way of certainty, right at that time. Refuting the second conceptual thought.
