It is like that for the sake of examining it. If one wonders why the Blessed One does not accept that "there are Tirthikas," (the answer is:) because (the Buddha) said, "If one analyzes." "All at once" means that because (this principle) is extremely profound, if it were taught only at the beginning, it would undoubtedly cause fear. "However" means that if it is not the very nature other than duality, then the yellow and blue, etc., that appear before one would only be spoken of as mere consciousness. This is also because the objects are different. How can this be established? It means that therefore, that is indeed an outsider. In conclusion, if the object is different from its own essence, then due to the power of difference, its own essence would also become different, but that is not the case. Therefore, because the objects are different, the nature of blue and cow, etc., are also different, meaning that if one says that nature is different because of nature, then what can it compensate for? The very nature of self-cognizance abides in such a way. Regarding this, if one relies on one part of the imputed difference and considers others unreasonable, then at that time, relying on this, it will also lead to faults in others. Therefore, for the collection of knowledge that appears, nothing, such as inside and outside, has any tangibility. If one says that it is not because the objects are different that they are established as different, (the answer is:) yes, that is not in relation to outsiders. Just as the meaning of outsiders, which is distinguished merely through self-conceit, is like that, one must undoubtedly acknowledge that the dependence on the difference of objects, which is established merely through self-conceit, is also like that. If the difference of objects does not lead to external things having difference, then at that time, the existence of contradictory dharmas will also not make others different. Therefore, for the function of things, difference is not needed. Therefore, it is merely "is," and the external difference that is other than that is difficult to abandon. Precisely because of this, it ultimately abides in the extremely minute dust. For mere consciousness, it abides in indivisibility. Because difference is not needed for the function of things, and there is also no entering and returning. Therefore, the absence of difference in knowledge is the ultimate truth. "Later" means manifold non-duality.

It is in the time of that. Thus, the two characteristics of valid cognition are explained, namely direct perception and inference, etc. It is reasonable to see that only they have these characteristics. If others ask, 'How is it?' This is because of doubt. The answer is: Direct perception and inference, etc., have already been said. The Bhagavan who is shown also shows that the difference of individuals is not a part of reason. If it is said that only consciousness is valid cognition, and the Bhagavan is not like that, why? The answer is: Because it is the ultimate valid cognition. If it is said that this vow made for the meaning of the treatise is the nature of valid cognition, the answer is: It possesses that, meaning it has those two characteristics. If it is said that Ishvara and others are also considered Bhagavan, the answer is: The Tathagata has been said. If it is said that even though it is so, how does it become the nature of what, and this is valid cognition? To dispel this doubt, the answer is: Is the explanation of the words in accordance with the meaning? The answer is: It is in accordance with the two characteristics. The so-called nature of direct perception means manifesting all things, and the word "nyid kyi" negates the nature of individuals, not the aggregates of form. Therefore, the nature of individuals is also said to be direct perception, because the aspect of understanding is the main thing. In the causal stage, it is the nature of inference. If inference has no difference from other inferences, then the nature of inference is also directly stated. In the resultant stage, it is uniquely uncommon, because it is the object of all things. Here, others ask, 'How is this known?' The answer is: Because it is the object of all. Therefore, it is said: It is to explain from what this is understood. What is not real is inverted, because it is the object of that. Therefore, consciousness is also not real, which means it is confused. From the continuum of the listener, with the four noble truths as the object, the reality is what the Bhagavan has spoken and shown. Explanation of the Ornament of Valid Cognition, called Extremely Pure.
