In short, liberation means this. Thus, by the statement "realizing one's own nature from oneself," the ultimate truth is revealed. To introduce through the method of posing a question, the remainder is for the purpose of revealing the meaning of conventional truth, and that is what "then" means. Turning away from non-valid cognition is abiding in valid cognition. The thought is this: if one strives to prove what is already established as valid cognition, then it is not permissible to tolerate the assertion that refutes it, because this tends towards admitting refutation. Therefore, by establishing the uniqueness that relies on it, it is utterly impossible to rely on it. Therefore, if this is the ultimate conclusion of the distinction here, then this is the meaning of the statement, "one should prove what is already established as valid cognition." The proponent of established conclusions says: The Dharma taught by the Buddhas relies entirely on the two truths. Considering the meaning of this statement, from the perspective of conventional terms, it is valid cognition itself. If, for the moment, valid cognition is what is desired, then shouldn't the delight of speculation also be accepted incidentally? If the conventional truth does not exceed, then there is no harm, but if there is doubt that it contradicts the truth as it has been truly spoken, then it is said, "conventional terms also." It means, through valid cognition and the entities of cause and effect, and those who deny other minds. If that is the case, then the statement "if one is corrected, the other will change" will arise, if asked in this way. Indeed, the manifest desires of individuals should be examined, and therefore it is said, "for those two." "Only this much" means, by reaching the ultimate perfection, that is, the synonym for the ultimate truth being completely established. Samsara is because of the lack of permanence, meaning that samsara is the nature of entering and returning. Entering and returning are also not in accordance with the manner that has already been explained, nor is it designated in some particular place, because this is an explanation outside of the ultimate limit of merely one's own nature. Therefore, if one respects discrimination, where is samsara? Therefore, abiding in self-knowing alone, without speaking, where is there an opportunity for others to argue? The explanation relying on the second perspective is "however." Clinging to beginningless time

Holding onto elaborations that arise from habits is samsara. Since one has become accustomed to it for a very long time, how can the antidote, which is to be abandoned by the path, be eliminated by discriminating thoughts related to the present? Therefore, surpassing and examining what is separated from the ultimate of self-awareness, and desiring wisdom, etc., are thought to arise naturally. What the established tenet says is, "If it is like this," just as one clings to "How can I be happy if I obtain this?" If one thinks that by entering this knowledge, one will obtain what is desired and be happy, it is only difficult to reverse. This is what is called the term from which knowledge arises. Because obtaining what is desired and being completely satisfied is itself a valid cognition. Therefore, in establishing terms, one does not need to rely on other efforts. However, what is the characteristic of this, which, apart from what is seen, also relies on non-deception to enter? It is only necessary to think about it. Thus, self-awareness itself is the ultimate valid cognition, and others are merely conventional. Even so, relying on the conventional, the nature of what is done is shown, and only a small part of the establishment of samsara and nirvana is shown. Some people think that the establishment of valid and invalid cognition is the ultimate, and they also say, "From the point of view of terms," it is explained by the subsequent functional consciousness. For those people, the contradiction with reason is temporarily shown. In order to show the contradiction with the scriptures, it is said, "Furthermore." What was previously said, "Recognizing self from self-nature," is after showing the ultimate valid cognition, when saying "From the point of view of terms, it is valid cognition" and showing the conventional valid cognition, it will become as said in the ultimate, self-awareness alone is valid cognition, and what is connected with other objects is not valid cognition. If both are ultimately valid, then what fault would there be? It is said like this. "If" etc. are separate explanations. Thus, by refuting the tenets of explanation and explanation of explanation, etc., how can it be said that it is valid cognition from the point of view of terms, and summarizing it in that way, is "Therefore." The basis of inference is the cause, and whatever appears in that way is what is to be done.
