Is. However, that is the action of the thing itself. It is called so. It is not said that knowing the past as valid cognition through unerring realization. It is also not dependent on the power of knowledge that accomplishes, however, its meaning is accomplished, the object of knowledge acts, and later it becomes manifest and accomplishes, the previous knowledge is determined to be valid cognition itself, if you think so. The refuter said, "Valid cognition is established earlier," and so on. The meaning is this: If something called "valid cognition" is established earlier, then at that time, the action of the thing that is established in relation to it, if it is determined to be valid cognition, however, even if it is the nature of valid cognition itself, it is not established. This itself is a summary, that is, "if" and so on. It is not that valid cognition itself is inferred from the action of the thing. However, when entering into knowing from where the thing is known, the action is obtained, and there it is said that this knowledge is valid cognition, thus showing doubt. That is, "however" and so on. The refutation is "the action of the thing" and so on. Even from non-valid cognition, one can see. It means that even from admitting that it is not valid cognition itself, one can see. Because for the collection of dust blown by the wind, excessively clinging to it as smoke, the object entered by the mind that infers fire may sometimes have fire. If it is not from the action of that thing. It means other doubts, the action of the thing is that when approaching its object, it is only from other valid cognitions, because the reason arises from there. The refutation is "from others also that," meaning, also from later perception. Therefore, for those who greatly show the entry and attainment of fire, who made the distinction that "one is valid cognition and the other is not"? Others. Because sometimes it cannot be obtained there. It was said so. The refuter said, "That is also in others," meaning, it cannot be obtained, that is when someone steals the object, or the approaching acceptance of the unstable object itself is exhausted, or the leg that enters in the middle is broken, it can also be seen in valid cognition. From where to obtain, etc., is others, if that is the case, valid and non-valid cognitions are the same for obtaining.

Even so, from what kind of knowledge does one enter to obtain it without doubt, will that become a valid means of knowledge? The refuter says, "Then," and so on. If valid means of knowledge and non-valid means of knowledge do not become similar, then, at that time, there will be no doubt. From what similarity will doubt be eliminated? It is said, "From the habit of others," and so on. In any case, even if there is a rough similarity, like jewels and pearls, etc., one will definitely grasp it from the habit of subtle differences. If it is said that from that difference one can be certain that there is attainment, then the refuter says, "That is mutual dependence." If there is habit, one can be certain of attainment, and even if certain attainment is certain, it is because it is the habit of the characteristic of repeated entry. Others think that if the meaning of experience cannot be denied, then, in order to show the order of entry of experience, it is said, "That seeing itself," and so on. When seeing fire, etc., just as when seeing burning, etc., when seeing in the time of convention, it will become the convention of the characteristic of entry, etc. How is it? It is said: For those who see fire, etc., it should be understood that it is the desire that arises from the memory produced by the power of the previous experience. The refuter says, "That is from inference." This is not direct perception, but it clearly shows that this is merely inferring the nature of inference. Like this, "That seeing itself," etc., is not grasping the characteristic of one's own seeing, because seeing itself previously is unreasonable. Therefore, whatever it becomes, it is doing such things, for example, like before. This also becomes like that. Therefore, doing such things is the meaning of a valid means of knowledge. Although one can be certain of things from inference itself, what fault is there? It is said, "Inference is also," and so on. Inference is grasping the connection with things, obtaining itself from direct perception, and grasping the connection with things in the manner that has already been said.
