Thus and so on were spoken. The so-called "first" means "principal." Thus, having the quality of being unfailing itself is stated as the characteristic of valid cognition (pramana), and because the faults of non-pervasion and over-pervasion have been avoided and it possesses that characteristic. The Blessed One himself is valid cognition for the next world and so on, and this meaning is also shown. Because the Vedas themselves establish this, there is no need for the Blessed One; for this dispute, since the Vedas themselves are valid cognition, the assertion that the characteristic of having the quality of being unfailing is meaningless is thoroughly clarified. Moreover, if one considers one's own tenets, it also shows that the characteristic of being unfailing does not pervade, therefore "if" and so on were said. The so-called "that is this" and so on, is the action of becoming the object to be measured. The so-called "after knowing" is after the arising of realization. Connect the knowledge of "knowing" and so on as valid cognition. If it is not so, it is impossible for the realization that reaches that object to arise. By the word "etc.," it includes the knowledge of the possessor of parts when one thinks, "This is a pot," and the knowledge that "blue is moving" refers to the distinction between being blue itself and not moving itself, and so on, it includes the holding of various distinctions. Here, valid cognition is not accepted according to one's own system. Therefore, in order to show the views of others, such as "for that, there was no prior," etc., these are also merely slight hints. First, the knowledge of seeing is: undiscriminating children, and consciousness similar to the deaf and dumb, etc., are born from pure objects. Thus and so on. And after that, with whatever intelligence, one outwardly clings to objects, phenomena, types, etc., that is also considered to be direct perception. Thus and so on should also be viewed. Because it arises from the power of the knowledge of the limbs, it is connected as if this conceptualization is not valid cognition. The so-called "or, if it is immediately after" means that if, in order to realize the object, one abandons the obstacles such as the eyes, etc., and seeks the knowledge of offering, seeing, then, if there are memories and desires, etc., since what causes entry is valid cognition, therefore, it is thought that the conceptualization itself that has no interval with entry will become valid cognition.

Secondly, for the sake of grasping, conventional truth is undesirable. By "undesirable," it is prevented that conceptualization is valid cognition, and by "mind is valid cognition," etc., it is prevented that eyes, etc. Therefore, because it is the nature of complete determination, and for the sake of grasping what has not been grasped, it is said that seeing itself is valid cognition. If it is said that by the knowledge of "valid cognition is non-deceptive," the deceptive one is prevented, then what is the grasped and the grasping? Indeed, the name of valid cognition is not for non-deceptive knowledge, however, because it is measured by this, it is valid cognition. The definition of what is to be expressed by the word valid cognition is non-deceptive knowledge, because there is also the possibility of mistaken cognition. For a deed that has already been completed, it is not appropriate for the subsequent action to become an excellent establisher. Therefore, what is said is that for the establishment of the meaning, grasping what has not been grasped. For the time being, speaking from the perspective of recognition, it is "this is this," and so on. The so-called "oneness" is oneness merely by the present state. Why is this not valid cognition? Because it is said "previously non-existent," and previously non-existent is ungrasped. For oneness, merely the present state is oneness. Why is previously non-existent ungrasped? Because it is the thought of "this is this." Because what is seen by present knowledge, merely the present state can recognize oneness. If it is said that what was not grasped by the knowledge of previous viewing, is it not recognized by the recognition that together with the previous is the same oneness? Then, why is it said that way? If there is doubt, it is said "together with the previous." If that is also the case that the words of the previous and the subsequent are determined as one, even so, because the actions of the previous and subsequent perceptions are not there, this will become a place of doubt, that is how it will be explained. The oneness grasped together with the previous, in order to show the object of the object possessor, means grasping together with the previous. The knowledge of oneness itself is the oneness of the object of dispute, is done by me, is what makes it clear. The basis of dispute is the same. If it is desired that way, then this will become a birthplace and is an establisher, so it is the basis, dispute and following
