Regarding things that appear unclear, it is acceptable to say, "This fault is caused by this action." But even so, it is not too extreme. Others say, "It is that very thing." Meaning, that unclear thing that you speak of as the nature of mind, is that very thing. If that is the case, then this is a refutation. "Those two" refers to color and shape. "However" is said by others. The appearance of color and shape depends on substance, but not on universals. This is the meaning of establishing for the sake of establishing. If that is the case, then this is a refutation. "From that" refers to from color and shape. "If" and so on are the views of others. The meaning is, although the color or shape that appears on pottery and people exists, they only appear as a common nature, not as their individual natures. Therefore, doubt arises. The refutation is "It is not so," meaning that the near situation can be understood through other means. Otherwise, how can the unclear nature be understood? "That" refers to color or shape. If the clear is understood as the unclear nature, what fault is there? Therefore, it is said, "If that is so." Someone worries that if one hundred other things with limbs are said to be the cause of doubt, therefore, "However" and so on are presented. "There" refers to on the pottery or the person. "From those" refers to color or shape. "In that" refers to blue and so on. "Different from that" refers to different from color and shape. "That very thing" is the doubt of others, referring to the color and shape being that very thing. "Not accepting" and so on. "However" and so on is the answer of others, meaning "not" and so on. What makes this clear is "the clear thing and the unclear" and so on. If that is the case, because things different from those cannot be ascertained, they do not exist. Then, how can it be understood that unclear color and shape do not exist? Therefore, "unclear" and so on are said. It should be understood that it does not exist because it is harmful. Who would harm?

Now, if there is a doubt, it is the statement of the reasoning of others' views, such as "manifestation" and so on. The word "backwards" means "for that reason." Therefore, the meaning is this: Because a manifestation with a clear appearance arises, and this clear appearance is present in front of the near object, it is not transformed into the nature of non-manifestation, but it will become so, therefore it will cause harm. This is the doubt itself, stating the reasoning with one's own view, which is "the opposite of this," that is, the nature opposite to non-manifestation is manifestation. That refers to the fact that the shape and color of non-manifestation cannot be recognized. The doubt of others' views is "this is not" and so on. The answer is "this is not" and so on. That color, refers to the refutation, the color that appears in the distance, on what shape is it recognized? Stating the refutation is "the offering is" and so on, even if the offering recognizes its own power, when the offering has the power to recognize the heavenly realm, even if requested, how does this recognition enter into that offering? Now, refuting the establishment of the last party is "because of that," that is, because it is difficult to reverse the absence of an object. From where is the mutual relationship of meditation and so on recognized? Or, even if it is related to the object of entry, the heavenly realm of offering and so on, that is the establishment of that. Everything refers to meditation and so on. Then, how does it enter? Therefore, it is said "therefore" and so on. If the mind is without an object, but elimination is the object of sound and conceptual thought, how is this so? It is said "that is also the elimination of others," meaning that the absence of an object of conceptual thought itself is the elimination of others. The elimination of others is what is said, if pursued to the end, what is to be said is elimination, in order to determine this meaning. Therefore, it is a summary of the near context. Special superimposition refers to untruth. If so much superimposition is said, then what is said? Superimposition is
