That the Vedas, which are considered to be valid means of cognition (pramāṇa), do not hold up when the Brahmin is analyzed, is indicated by "furthermore." The word "etc." in "Brahmins etc." includes Kshatriyas etc. "Action" refers to desires etc. The word "etc." includes the practice to achieve Brahmin etc. "Commentary: Possessing special abilities" should also be understood here from practice, because it will be explained as "there is no good deed separate from the certainty of caste." "That" refers to those who want to appear as Brahmins. The manifestation of "that" is "Kuyu etc." "Because of that" refers to others. "The answer is manifest meaning" etc. Why should the approximation not be valid? The answer is, "Approximation is in the world." "Other" refers to the ultimate truth. "If" etc. is the analysis. "If it is so" means that the other's approximation is great, then "doubt arises from the approximation" etc. "Because of that" refers to others. "Approximation depends on direct perception" is the summary. Previously, direct perception was the main thing, and approximation was the assistant. Now it is the opposite. The answer is "if." If direct perception can achieve the meaning of the characteristics of Brahmins etc. without relying on approximation, then at that time approximation can achieve truth. "If it is not so" means that if it cannot achieve meaning without relying, then at that time approximation cannot achieve truth either. "If it is not other" is the analysis of this itself, that is, "when" etc. "It is like that" means there is no ability. "Other doubts" means through assembly, that is, both. The answer is "that does not exist" etc. "Here also" refers to the assembly of direct perception and approximation. If it cannot be determined that seeing the fruit is also an assembly, then how is everything

Now it is said that it is a collection from seeing the fruit. If you say what is "realization", then it is said that the vase and so on are mentioned. The so-called "other" refers to the seedling of barley. Why? Because there it says and so on. The so-called "it itself" is because it is seen as the collection itself. So, for direct perception and appropriation, does the collection also only have fruit? To this doubt, the latter half is explained, which is what is said here and so on. The so-called "similarly" is like seedlings and so on. If it is said with conviction, isn't it certain to say "this is a Brahmin"? Why say "similarly" and so on here? It is not so, because there is no certainty. Because for a person with a way of acting, doubt is also unreasonable. If there is a collection of seeds and so on, even if empty doubts arise, the growth of the seedling will not be damaged. Whatever is definitely apparent is also generated by trusting in appropriation. The function of direct perception is only to tend towards the nature of the dharma, but not towards the distinction of determining the kind and following accordingly. Therefore, for doubting that appropriation is not true, direct perception does not act at all. Where direct perception enters into the distinction of determining the kind and following accordingly, even if one doubts that appropriation is not true, the kind will necessarily be determined, which is what is to be shown. The so-called "when there is gold and so on" means seeing through direct perception, purifying it by burning it with direct perception and so on. If you ask: Will it be the same for the appropriation indicated by the kind? The answer is: Similarly, through the kind and so on. If you ask: What kind of difference does direct perception have? The answer is: Through the true kind, it has the form of grasping by its own nature. If you ask: Even for gold, isn't it focused on the kind that has not realized that it is purified by burning and so on? It is said that for gold and so on, it is said so. The difference in nature is that purifying it by burning and so on is consistent with classifying and following gold. Therefore, its meaning is that grasping it itself is grasping the kind. If you ask: Will it be the same for the situation at hand?
