Commentary. The so-called "nature of prior and subsequent" refers to becoming moments of past and future. Because the nature of prior and subsequent cannot be seen, therefore, the consciousness arising from the senses is not known as being one with the prior and subsequent, nor is it known as being with the subsequent past, and should be connected in this way. Why is it not known as a direct perception as one? It is said, "Because it follows the senses," because the senses cannot enter into arising and arising, etc., it does not follow the senses. Therefore, they are not held as a direct perception as one. Without the function of the senses, the past, etc., do not become direct perceptions, what is connected with the present is, the eyes, etc., hold. Because this is the view of other schools. The so-called "therefore" is a summary. Rejecting the second view is, even if it is the dharma of the determined object, it should be connected in this way. The so-called "how is that," how is this "determination," the explanation of this is, becoming the object of what should be accomplished. Not showing the nature of what should be accomplished following sounds, etc., this is actually, because of special attachment, showing that is, meaning only without object. Thinking that the fault will turn to the only determined aspect, others say "some nature." If it is said, therefore, the connection is, it is knowing the nature of what should be accomplished, and it is only knowing the nature of existence on that, this is also unreasonable, because for indivisible particles, dividing knowledge is unreasonable. In order to refute from other aspects, saying others is, saying "that is not." In general, the so-called "essence" is the ultimate of determination. Essence is not determination. The so-called "by what that is not," is the second view, is the concluding remark that cannot be liberated from the previous fault. Wanting to say refuting others, oneself in order to clarify the sayings of others, saying is, "his realization is thus accomplished," etc. The so-called "his" refers to determination. Becoming a refutation is, that

Its own nature is, it is called. The nature of that determination is what should be proven accordingly. Otherwise, if what is called 'other' is not the nature of what is to be proven accordingly, it will not become a determination. This is to clarify: only what is being realized is, it is called. That is called determination. If it is not so, then it is not, which means it is not other. It is shown that what is to be proven accordingly is what is to be proven by determination, and in order to show that again, it is said 'if'. 'That' refers to the object. 'Appearing to be proven accordingly' is the characteristic of determination. 'Not other' means it is not what is to be proven accordingly. The meaning is that what is to be proven accordingly is not established merely by distinguishing what is unrelated, but by distinguishing what is connected with others. If it is not so, then following what is not to be proven accordingly, it will also become what is not to be proven accordingly. Therefore, determination is not a property of the object. Regarding 'not being general knowledge', this is to explain the reason, recalling what was said earlier, 'only what is being realized'. That is to say, if it is general knowledge, then for that. 'That' refers to the seventh case, which is the same basis as 'being general knowledge'. Because offerings and so on are not knowledge of the meaning that should be proven accordingly, it is the remaining part. 'The determination spoken of there' and so on is the conclusion. This should also be seen as 'therefore'. 'Spoken of there' means speaking in the sense of the words of determination; for the meaning of the words of determination, it will not become that, it should not become. To abandon this, it is said 'if'. Because the meaning of this is this, and not this, for this, determining what exists and does not exist, and thinking that that realization also exists. The realization of determination, distinguished by the three realizations of determination and so on, even one should be established, this is the summary.

That is the meaning. If there is doubt as to why the person is not considered a necessary author? Others say: Because the person of the Vedas has no measure. Because whoever creates the Vedas, he has no measure. This is not true, etc., is the answer, saying that there is not one, which is synonymous with not being established. Thus, if there must be something to be created, and the awareness of the creators, even so, there is no awareness of the offering as an object, because it is not there at that time. If awareness exists temporarily, if it is not desired to be aware, then that is the knowledge of self-nature. If it is said that knowledge exists, then who can prevent self-nature? Saying that everything is self-nature. etc. Even with the knowledge that does not touch its self-nature, if it is knowledge, then everything will know everything, so think. Saying that only manifesting its self-nature is knowledge. Saying for those who have no self-nature. etc. Even if that is not there, self-nature will be known, if this is there? After speaking of the nature of the object and the object, in order to establish existence, it is necessary to say that the cause is existence. Because of that, the cause is called existence, but that is also non-existence, so it is contradictory. When one knows the cause, existence is called the meaning that is determined for the expression of existence. It is not deceived by the two moons, there, whatever is the cause, the appearance of the cause itself, that is only existence, whatever is the second moon outside of that non-existence, that should not be prevented. Even if it is prevented, because it can become a measure even without a measurable object, it is abandoning respect for the measure from afar. Because the world is free from observation, it always thinks of the appearance itself, whatever appears, that itself is non-existent, only confusion is exhausted, and the establishment of confusion also depends on it. Therefore, because the cause itself is existence, only the cause's
