The term "by that nature" refers to relying on a collection of aggregates such as form. Relying on a single collection also depends on the situation, either entering into distinguishing continuums or intending to be a special instance of a single function. Otherwise, it would be clearly confused like smoke and ashes. As it is said, if one does not particularly cling to one, then it is said that there is no valid cognition. For example, taking a mirage for water, the meaning to be accomplished by water is accomplished by the mirage. If one clearly intends that the functions are different, then the cognition of water is not a valid cognition. This is the connection. The meaning of a general statement is to achieve the ultimate of the particular, for example, starting from the cognition of holding water. If relying on the difference between water and mirage is a fault, then how can the difference between seeing and obtaining be prevented? If it is the same because the cognition is the same in the place called "Me'o," then water and mirage will also become like that because the things themselves are the same. The existence of function is also for the sake of general display. What is the use of also summarizing the cognition of a picture with the word "also"? If it is said that other cognitions themselves are not deceptive, then it is said "precisely because of this," meaning to think only in that way. Again, the part of narrating the Commentary on Valid Cognition is to show that the main thing is to show the intention to manifest. This is not to say that merely the existence of function is not deceptive, but rather that the intention to manifest is the existence of function. If that were the case, what would happen? It is said, "If that were the case." The rest is easy to understand. Among them, when the coarse cloth is obtained, the cognition of water is explained by preventing the cognition of the vase from being valid. As long as the rag is not obtained, even if the cognition of silver repeatedly arises, it is prevented from being valid cognition itself because there is no non-deception in manifestation. Even if the cognition of a picture continues to appear, it is not valid cognition merely by that, because if another moment of cognition does not arise, then the first moment of valid cognition will become non-valid cognition. Therefore, just like lightning and so on, even if faith is seen, there is no non-deception in manifestation.

Therefore, it will be said to be valid cognition. Because manifest desire is infallible. And so on, is a summary. It is similar to the same kind. It is not enough to merely generate knowledge of the same kind, because the continuum of knowledge of silver will also become a fault. It is also not enough to merely generate knowledge of a different kind, because knowledge of extremely different things like pots will also become valid cognition. If that is the case, then what is the use of acknowledging non-deception with much effort? If merely realization is generally established as valid cognition, then eliminating the harm-doer is the one who abandons, it is good to say so. If it is said that the aspect of the knowledge of the harm-doer abides, that is, any establishment, is also that kind of aspect, that is, the aspect of non-deception. For example, by the power of the intention of the previous knowledge, the subsequent knowledge is non-deceptive, thus establishing, it is also the harm-doer. Therefore, the abiding of the aspect of the harm-doer also comes from the aspect of non-deception. If it is not made into the nature of manifest desire, then, in reality, there are no objects of harm and harm-doer, what shows this is "at that time." In reality, merely generating knowledge of the aspect of a different kind, that is not a harm-doer, as said before. What is more to be said is, if it is said to be of a different kind. Because it is not acknowledged that generating knowledge of the same kind is a harm-doer. If other schools think that generating knowledge of a different kind is a harm-doer, then, at that time, the knowledge of pots etc. is easy to realize. If not, this is of other schools. For knowledge of a different kind, if it is thought not to be, knowledge arises together, at that time, it is a harm-doer. When there is knowledge of a pot, when it becomes knowledge of cloth, at that time, there is no realization that there is no pot, this is only that meaning. "Thinking it is not" is refutation. By some establishment and negation, the language of establishing by discriminating thought, because it is the nature of showing what is to be established, it is necessary to rely on valid cognition, if it is not so, then everything
