So! It is easy to understand the answer for both. Why are dreams, etc., not like that? This statement shows that the similarity is very pervasive. Otherwise, the distinction will not be explained. What is meant by saying, "What is this called 'harm'?" It refers to the characteristic of realization without harm. If it depends on the ultimate truth, or if it depends on the conventional truth? According to the first case, since the so-called "harm" does not exist at all, how can dreams, etc., be valid cognitions, thus avoiding non-pervasion? Furthermore, how is harm not the ultimate truth? It is said, "What is this called 'harm'?" The harmer harms the consciousness to be harmed, which means either making it non-existent or making it know that its object is non-existent. For this, the first distinction is that, merely because of accumulation, one approaches and speaks of faults, i.e., "if others," etc. "Self-object" refers to one's own object. "Non-existent" refers to the object of the consciousness to be harmed. Explaining that the essence of the first case is non-existent, i.e., "for the moment," etc. "At that time" refers to the time of other consciousness. Regarding the doubt that one is harmed by something, it is said, "merely by closing the eyes." The so-called "realization also does not exist" is considered to mean that others would not say it either. Therefore, to show that others also consider it to be the second case, i.e., "other consciousness," etc. The refuter is "one's own object," etc. Because of this, since one enters one's own object, one can therefore prevent others. If one does not prevent, how one's own nature is, the nature of others will also appear, and therefore it will become impossible to ascertain it. Therefore, it is completely cut off, and from there others are distinguished, and it is said that there is no third aggregate, etc. Or, if consciousness tends towards the same one, then since it establishes that, it will not establish others, nor will it prevent, because one will not have two results, in this way it is said. For the moment, the consciousness tending towards one

It is reasonable to say that earth cannot function in another place, because it is definite in form. Therefore, if one undertakes to refute others, what kind of fault would there be? It is not the king's decree that one thing cannot have two fruits, because many functions are seen even in one thing such as a lamp. Since one form is determined from something, it is impossible to become a non-thing, and it is not completely clinging to the difference of form, but clinging to the non-thing is merely a certainty. This itself is without harm, if seeing fire and being thirsty, one cannot be certain that there is no water, because seeing the subsequent action of not entering, there is no fault. Accepting this doubt, thinking that manifestation is the ability to cling to distinctions, therefore, the key answer of entering one's own realm, etc., was spoken. Here, clinging to blue, being certain that there is no non-blue, this is preceded by clinging to distinctions. It should not be thought that without distinguishing clinging or distinguishing, manifestation can determine that there is no other, and that distinction is also not able to be clung to. This will also be explained later. If it is said that non-thing arises from distinguishing clinging, then from clinging to non-thing, distinction can be determined, thus eliminating mutual dependence. Therefore, all distinctions depend on one's own realm, so there is no talk of preventing others. Therefore, saying "completely cut it off," etc., is merely conventional truth, and this is precisely the occasion for distinguishing reality. Saying "seeing is not unreasonable" is also because it is an established tenet. Immediately after seeing fire, it is certain that there is no water, so there is no interruption here. Now, because its function is only related to habit and is not contradictory, there is no seeing function here. In the occasion of distinguishing, just like one's own nature, one cannot be certain of non-thing, therefore, the consciousness of dreams is established as the consciousness of waking does not harm knowing that there is no object. Like the consciousness of bright fish bladder and silver, etc., the harming and the harmed
