When the Bhagavan appears as the object to be measured, it is necessary to have a valid cognition that realizes such an object to be measured, that is its meaning. Among them, those who enter merely through faith, although they have reverence, there is no certainty about the Bhagavan, while others are purely argumentative. Therefore, there are also two kinds of valid cognition that establish. If it were not so, then there would be no reversal or doubt about the Bhagavan as the object to be measured. The nature of valid cognition and the object to be measured is such that doubt arises about one because it is the object from another. It is unreasonable to have doubt about one and certainty about another. Although it is possible because conceptualizations enter into emptiness with things, it is certain that whether it is certainty or doubt, both must be established by one with power. Therefore, for this valid cognition, in order to dispel doubt and reversal, the author of the treatise believes that the only thing that can completely follow both the establisher and the object to be measured is the realization of the object to be measured, so he says so. Or, in order to determine the meaning of the object to be measured, why not start explaining the object to be measured itself in order to seek valid cognition? That's why it says "realization to others." In this way, the collection that the valid cognition wants to establish must exist as it is. The object to be measured that is grasped or determined by valid cognition cannot be changed by even sense consciousness. Even if valid cognition is temporarily ignored, it is reasonable to establish valid cognition itself in order to seek valid cognition again. Then, just like other treatises, both should be established, because both need to be dependent, is that so? That's why it says "realization of the object to be measured." The idea is that whatever wants to establish other objects to be measured must be grasped by valid cognition. Therefore, it can be established by way of example of valid cognition, but involving others is meaningless. For example, just like the example of inference of nature, it turns into elimination etc. in an instant, or when eliminating the wrong perception of the object of direct perception and showing the object with its own characteristics, the five aggregates including the inner

It is like understanding and including all things within. Because the sensory consciousness grasps the form aggregate, and the other aggregates are grasped by self-awareness and all yogic direct perception. Similarly, others should also be inferred in this way. Because, in this way, the need for the characteristic of understanding all measurable things depends on valid cognition, therefore, it should be said that valid cognition is established. The word 'ni' indicates a famous reason. Because the doubt about the characteristic of completely understanding all measurable things is very famous. Therefore, the word 'dag' in the first verse expresses the object of expression of the characteristic of the Blessed One. Understanding measurable things depends on valid cognition, but what will that do for the Blessed One? By what will it be beautiful to say that the Blessed One is the object of expression of the treatise? Therefore, someone doubts, how should it be expressed that the Blessed One himself has become valid cognition here? To this, it is answered: Valid cognition is also the Blessed One himself. If direct perception and inference are not valid cognition, then what has made the Blessed One himself valid cognition? To this, it is said again: Eliminating things associated with others is something to be avoided, because that is the characteristic of valid cognition. This eliminates unrelated things. Even if eliminating things associated with others, it is not dependent on direct perception and so on, but rather dependent on the Vedas and Ishvara etc., which are established by the conceptual mind of the knower. For example, in the case of two people, the term "this person is wise" is only dependent on the second person, and it is not a prohibition of all other people being wise. Similarly, even if eliminating things associated with others by relying on direct perception and so on, there is no fault, because it is desired to express an excellent valid cognition. For example, the term "sred sgrub gzhu 'dzin no" is like wanting to express an excellent bow holder. For those cases of eliminating unrelated things, then, the definite grasp of calling "the Blessed One himself" is another order, therefore, one should look at the end of this word "valid cognition." If the art of archery is very
