Also. By saying "non-deceptive," one cannot abandon the knowledge that has already been grasped. Therefore, the previous definition relies on this definition. "For the sake of grasping what is grasped, the conventional is not desired," it is said. The "also" in that refers to what has already been grasped. If, because it is acknowledged that the understanding of the non-deceptive fact is taken on, isn't this definition also dependent on the previous definition? If there is such doubt, it is said, "non-deceptive." Although there is non-deception at the time of this definition, it is not through non-deception that the meaning is understood. The meaning is that although non-deception exists, it has no function. If that is the case, how is conventional wisdom not valid, since everything is, and non-deception itself is the refuge there? If there is such doubt, then, causing the recollection of what was said earlier is "existing in the conventional." This is the way to distinguish the meaning that is spoken, meaning that external objects with limbs, etc., are reasonable. If it is non-deceptive at the time of this definition, then, how is it? The answer is "through ascertainment it works," meaning through the body abiding in its natural state, there is ascertainment. In this way, from habit, making the mind clear, free from the disturbance of cataracts and bubbles, and free from the deterioration caused by sleep, etc., thereby fully understanding, for the vase, etc., that is present in front, believing it to be an external fact, free from the doubt of being mistaken, satisfaction will arise. But for two moons, it is not like that, because it is determined by the deterioration itself. Therefore, it is clear that the fact itself must be determined by non-deception. Therefore, the thought is that this definition does not depend on the previous definition, but the previous definition depends on this definition. It is said that this fact is understood through ascertainment, because the connection of offerings and the heavenly realm, etc., is not established as existing through ascertainment. So, when non-deception wants to become the meaning, how is separation done? It is implied that, in that way, we do not have the fault of a definition that depends on the previous definition. If it is said that the action itself refers to the external fact, if it is not like that, then there will be no difference from the hair, etc., seen by someone with cataracts.
