Because of this, since there is no interruption by similar kinds, it is immediately following. For example, just as with something that happened long ago, since it is immediately following, there is no fault. Or, it will be said that it is spoken in order to refute the views of the Samkhya school. When explaining the chapter on inference, it has been shown that in some places it will be explained in this way, which depends on one's own actions. Because it is merely momentary existence and also has the nature of being related to what follows, it is realization. Therefore, it will be established that the object of realization is definitely momentary. Regarding this, although entering into inference can be accomplished through valid cognition itself, the meaning is only stated initially, because the initial language that introduces the meaning as not being for oneself, etc., is established. Therefore, there is no need there for the language of valid cognition being correct, etc. In the remaining parts, only this is needed. So, is the language introduced by the initial author of the treatise himself reasonable? No, it can be either by oneself or by another similar person, there is no difference. For example, just as in the case of taking sound as a subsequent indication. Only the words of the holder crave the meaning of the peak, not the commentator. Therefore, even if he does something forceful, there is no fault. Valid cognition is established to be properly explained, because it is initially stated, so gathering the knowledge of valid cognition being non-deceptive, etc., initially stating inference will not change either. What is the use of doing this? Is it just like that? No, because the necessity of meaning and non-meaning, etc., has already been explained. So, in the Commentary on Valid Cognition, when inference is initially explained, is this not there? Although it is there, the difference that depends on the well-spoken will be explained in front. Therefore, in order to enter into the immediately following inference, it is appropriate to show what is to be said, that valid cognition is established to be properly explained. If even so, this meaning is irrelevant, because it is a commentary on Dignāga's Compendium on Valid Cognition, so is that itself what is to be said? If so, then where does this statement, "a commentary on Dignāga's Compendium on Valid Cognition," come from? Denying fame to someone with childish behavior.
