The reason for indivisible appearance. This is to be regarded as the reason for the sound of pNam-bu. Because the excellent threads that are helped by weavers and others are mutually beneficial and helpful, that is the cause of the sound of pNam-bu, so the threads themselves abide in the things that are beneficial and helpful, and thus accomplish the needs of clothing and so on, which is the reason for the sound of pNam-bu. Furthermore, not seeing the division in the threads is the cause of the term pNam-su, for example, if ropes and so on do not help each other, the threads will be divided and scattered. However, this is not the case at the time of pNam-bu, so not seeing the division is the cause of the sound of the vase, and not a branch that has turned into another meaning. If it is allowed to be so, if the substance separated from the thread has no cause for the sound of the vase, then the sound of the vase will be close to the thread, just like the sound of the lion to the man. Although there is a cause for the merits of bravery and so on, the sound of the lion is not real, because there is no lineage of the lion. Similarly, although there is a reason for the things that are beneficial and helpful, the sound of pNam-bu is not real for the thread, because there is no branch of it. If you say so, then here it is said: What is the object of the first expression? The object of knowledge without error. This is called, whatever is the object of the first expression, that is the object, because it is the object of knowledge without error, whatever object has knowledge without error, that is called an object in the world. Wherever there is an object that is first named and conforms to the Dharma, and the realization that arises from applying it there, that is a near-establishment, because it is the object of erroneous knowledge. The sound of pNam-bu is the thread itself that performs the actions of clothing and so on, which is first named, and thus generates knowledge without error, so it is an object. However, if the sound of pNam-bu is a near-establishment because there is no ultimate object, then all sounds are near-establishments, because they take existing objects as their objects.

It is explained in the first chapter that it is because of non-existence. However, it is known that genus and so on exist by inference. For example, just as the similar cause of having a stick causes different individuals to have similar minds called "having a stick," and black cows and so on also have similar minds called "cow" in their mutually different nature, therefore, seeing similar things, one can infer genus. So, do countless individual appearances also exist in the same way? Answer: Here it is said: The nature of things is different, there is no inference for genus, etc., sticks, etc. are only conventional, and all are established by names. It means that the nature of things is different, and there is no inference for clinging to genus and qualities, etc. Thus, by saying that it has the same form, or by having reason itself, it is said that this is genus. Saying is not the reason for the existence of things, because establishing names such as sticks for all things is only a conventional establishment, and then it is established as having a stick. Therefore, if one relies on the common cause seen by conceptualization and says that the appearance of a cow has the same form, then it is establishing what has already been established. However, if one relies on the existence of cause, genus, etc. to establish similar awareness, then the metaphor becomes empty of what is to be established. The awareness that one has a stick is not the cause of the stick. If the sound of having a stick is the cause of the stick, then all sentient beings will become having a stick, because there is no different distinction. If it is related to the stick, then it is having a stick, so it is not too excessive, if you think so. Because the relation is not the object of knowledge of the knowledge of the related. For the relation, other relations will also be awakened, so the relation will become endless. If even without relation, one can know the relation and the one with relation, then the relation of relation will be established by conceptualization. Therefore, even if there is no other relation, one can awaken the relation of relation just like conceptualization. Even if there is no relation between things, it can be done by conceptualization.
