It is hurried. Like this, some people say that the accomplishment of meaning is determined by validity itself. In fact, they refute in this way, saying that validity is reversed, thereby proving meaninglessness. Or, isn't it the case that the so-called "contradiction" also recognizes non-existence from other things through direct or indirect connection? For example, there is no cold touch here because there is fire. There is no goosebumps or other phenomena here because of the proximity of the characteristic of fire. If it is said like this, then how is the name of non-existence established only through non-manifestation? Answer: When that or its cause is prevented, saying the dharma that contradicts it, whatever is seen, in that itself, that is shown to be immeasurable. It means that whatever is seen that is shown as a contradictory dharma, what does this contradict? It contradicts the cold to be negated, or the cause of the phenomena to be negated, such as goosebumps, which is the cold touch. That is, the contradictory thing is observed, and the thing to be negated itself is shown to be immeasurable, which is what shows non-manifestation. There is no connection between contradictory things, because the contradictory things are fire and cold, so it is not considered to be connected with the cold touch. If it is said that the cold touch itself is completely measured by the connection with non-existence, then the connection should be recognized only through non-existence, not through contradiction with non-existence. Therefore, only non-manifestation is the means of proving non-existence. Otherwise, by saying that one dharma exists, how can it be known that the other does not exist? If it is from contradiction, then how is that established? Because they do not coexist. If it is said like this, then from where is it assumed? If it is because it is possible to appear but not seen, if it is said like this, that is not immeasurable.

Commentary: However, it is understood as contradictory because they cannot coexist. Wherever form and taste, etc., coexist, there is no contradiction. Therefore, if it is said that knowing the absence of taste by seeing form there is not correct. Then, how is it understood by what valid cognition that heat and cold cannot coexist? If it is said that the nature of cold that can appear is established as not coexisting because of seeing the valid cognition of seeing fire. Then, the one who previously held the contradiction will become non-perception. If that is the case, then although contradiction is known by non-perception, it is understood as absence from that reason, but not by non-perception. However, if it is said that the non-perception that establishes contradiction exists beforehand, and following it, although absence is understood from the reason of contradiction, it is established from non-perception itself. If that is the case, then after determining the connection by direct perception, understanding fire by the smoke that follows it will become only through direct perception. How then does inference as a valid cognition establish the existence of something else? If it is said that inference is used because direct perception cannot enter hidden fire. Then, have fire and absence become hidden? How then does inference enter into that? Non-perception that does not appear is not a valid cognition. However, if it is said that non-perception, which has become an object of memory and an object of knowledge, now understands being separated from contradictories. To this, it is said: Memory is the memory of connection, and because it is direct perception, inference becomes meaningless. Therefore, here his intention is this: Previously seeing fire and the absence of cold, and because of non-perception in other places, it is established that there is no cold, and absence is non-perception itself. Therefore, non-perception established by inference can establish the name of absence, just like direct perception establishes it. When the erection of hairs and so on is established as absent, then fire does not perceive cold, and through that non-perception of cold, the erection of hairs and so on is established as absent. Regarding this, the nature of fire, through the connection of the collection of touch with the nature of warmth, is inferred, and the touch of warmth is the nature of the absence of cold.
