Now, people say that it is like there is nothing that cannot be done, saying the sound "a son is not a son," because it possesses the realm of things, it will become real. If it is said that a "person" is able to do things, then how is it established? Because it does not go beyond establishment, having established a nature like that, whatever sound of "chief" people combine, that will also truly become its realm, because it does not possess the realm of things. The "chief" or "person" established by the Samkhya school does not exist, therefore the sounds of "chief" and "person" will not become real. Worldly people directly apply terms on that. Therefore, whatever thing is the realm of knowledge that is not deluded and possesses realization, that is the "chief," and the other is called "proximate establishment." However, the knowledge that possesses past realms, etc., is without a realm, but for what arises now, the knowledge that arises from sound, that possesses the realm of things, because it is not one delusion, everything becomes like that, and the knowledge of those with cataracts is deluded, if it is said that all knowledge of form, etc., that arises from pure eyes is not deluded. The reply is: For a damaged sound, what is the wisdom? The appearance is also like an undamaged sound. The consciousnesses of the ears, etc., are not like that for meaningful objects. The meaning is that, just as from sound, the wisdom that appears blue and unclear can be recognized on damaged things, so too, the unclear blue image can be seen on undamaged things. Like that, the appearance of a non-existent meaning, and appearing as undifferentiated, does not exist for the ear consciousnesses, etc., which possess the realm of truth and existence. Like this, those with cataracts see hairs, which is all entering and deceiving, while the consciousness of pure eyes is definite for each object, and produces non-deceptive consciousnesses that appear blue, etc., because from sound, for damaged and undamaged things, it has the same image, so it does not grasp things, because it only grasps the general characteristic. If it is said that the two minds are the same. The answer is: That is just arbitrary, the grasping has already been prevented earlier. The meaning is that, however, the sound holder grasps the general characteristic of clear and unclear, therefore for damaged and

If it is said that the consciousness with the object of non-destruction, the two appearances are the same. That is not right. Because, the consciousness that grasps the general, devoid of clarity, has already been prevented, that is, it is not general and not clear. Therefore, the consciousness arising from sound has no object. How do you know that the consciousness arising from sound is based on nothing? If the realization itself is based on nothing, then without knowing the destruction, the appearance of different non-existence, is it not without knowledge? Just as the realization of destruction is, so is non-destruction. Therefore, in this way, destruction is determined by realization. If you say there is doubt, but not certainty that there is not. Then, if you recognize things from sound, how can you doubt? Because if it appears, you should not doubt. If you say that even if it appears, you will doubt because of the similarity. That is also not right, because for those who see the difference, it is said to be similar, if you do not show the difference yourself, it is the same, not similar. If you say that it is different because the time is different. How do you know that things are different or the same when the time is different? Even if there is an object of existence, the previous and subsequent consciousness are different in time, but not different in things, right? If so, then the past etc. are not different in time, because things are not different. Therefore, if the consciousness arising from sound is based on things, then the establishment of the past etc. is not reasonable. Therefore, the consciousness arising from sound is undoubtedly not based on things. If you say that only recognizing your own self-character, without difference, is the general aspect. Therefore, the consciousness arising from sound and inference is based on things. Answer: Things that are different from each other, how can they become without difference? If there are two self-natures, how can it become one thing? If what is taken by inference is without difference, then if it is the self-nature of consciousness, inference is not based on things. If it is said to be the self-nature that follows the thing itself. Even so, the self-nature of the different external environment is different from each other.
