Otherwise, there would be a difference. If one cannot understand the stick, then it is not right to determine a person as a stick-holder. If someone sees a similarity, and other minds also see it, then that can be called seeing. That is to say, if seeing blue and seeing are related, then it cannot be determined that that can be called seeing. However, if one sees the self-nature of things such as blue, that is, sees the image of things, and other minds can also see it, then calling seeing and clinging to that thing, in order to answer that question, it is said that "this is like self-cognition being established." That is to say, if one examines the nature of this consciousness that clings to things, whether the similarity set by things is obvious or not obvious, if it is obvious, then self-cognition is established. Like this, it and the similarity are the nature of consciousness. If one recognizes it, then its nature will also be recognized, therefore self-cognition is established. If one cannot recognize one's own reality, how can one recognize the nature of other things? That is to say, if consciousness does not recognize the self-nature that has the image of things, then self-cognition is not established. If consciousness can be recognized by other things, then, if consciousness itself cannot recognize itself, how can it recognize the nature of other things? One cannot recognize the self-nature of things, even if there is consciousness. If that is not established, how can things be established? If consciousness has the image of things, then even if one does not recognize oneself, one can recognize things, if one says so, that is not right, because "one can also experience from similarity," which has been explained very clearly before. That is to say, if one says that from the similarity existing in consciousness, even without consciousness, one can recognize things, then this has been refuted before, because there it has been denied that "all similarities will experience each other." In addition, if the similarity is established, then from that similarity one can recognize things, that is also impossible. Because, "seeing itself holds the similarity, before there was no seeing of things, how can this seeing determine from that similarity?" That is to say, not seeing twins.

Just as one might perceive similarity, thinking, "This happy person is like that one," the person who has seen the object earlier than the seeing will not have the object appear at the time of seeing, because it is the aspect of knowledge itself that is seen. How then, along with seeing, will that person know the similarity of this object? However, the object has an aspect, while knowledge is without aspect. That is, it is certain that it is seen when another knowledge grasps it, but not by the similarity of knowledge. If someone asks, what fault would that be? (Answer:) One does not even want similarity itself. Whoever that is, does not see two things. These are called ultimate knowledge. These are the concluding words on knowledge. It is said that whichever opponent does not want the similarity of knowledge, and by the word "also," even the opponent who does not accept self-awareness, then his following and the seeing of the object will also disappear. Like this, seeing the object is the knowledge that has the aspect of that object, because it is impossible to experience the object in its essence. The aspect of knowledge is also not the knower of the object, because it does nothing for it. Without doing anything, it cannot be the knower, because it is too extreme. If it is said that because it is the fruit of the object, it is the knower of the object, even then, like the senses and so on, it is not experiencing the essence of the object, so isn't the so-called "its fruit" just a name? Like the experience of the senses. Therefore, it is only by the entry of knowledge that one experiences blue and so on. For the meaning of faith, if
