Even if it transforms, because that thing gives rise to knowledge, therefore knowledge manifests the appearance of the thing, and it is said that the thing is clear, but it is not the thing itself that experiences with its own nature. Therefore, the knowledge with that appearance is self-cognizance. Then, if the knowledge with that appearance is experienced, does it mean that the previous simultaneous thing is experienced? (Verse) "Other things that arise simultaneously, because they are useless, no image is established, no image is established on knowledge, how can it reveal its own reality?" It has been said. Other things other than the thing that arises, is the knowledge and the thing exist simultaneously, because it has no benefit, so no image is established, that is, it does not arise with an image, because of what reason, does it arise with the nature of experiencing simultaneously with the knowledge itself? If one's own image is established on knowledge, then it can be revealed, if no image is established, then how can the image of one's own thing be revealed? It will not be revealed. Even if the nature of the hidden thing, one does not realize one's own nature, but because one experiences the knowledge with that appearance, it is said to be clear. If the nature of the thing appears, then there is no connection with the same kind of knowledge that arises from the power of one's own cause, therefore this is not what should be grasped. Knowledge and so on do not exist at the time of knowing, so the thing itself is not knowable, but through its power, the realization with that appearance arises. If someone says, any solid diamond and other things that exist, exist at the time of knowing, but is its own nature knowable? (Verse) "Diamond and other things, because of their solidity, do not depend on others, the knowledge of all beings, will arise simultaneously by themselves." It has been said. Any solidity of diamond and so on, that is, the permanent thing, is also the knowledge of all beings arising simultaneously by themselves, because it does not depend on other co-operators. Existing for a long time is called permanent. If the thing is the nature of existing for a long time, then when it is first seen, because all the things existing in all time are not completely seen, it is permanent.

it will not become like that. At that time, it is not right to say that something that is not completely perfect is permanent. If one cannot see all times, then one is not a person who contemplates long periods of time. But if the parts of time arise sequentially, how can there be no sequence? However, it is not the case that one knows all times comprehensively. Therefore, whatever thing exists for a long time will be seen all at once in that way. If it is said that knowledge arises differently depending on causes such as the eye, so it is sequential, then, in response to that, it is said: Acting together is for the sake of mutual assistance, so these will arise sequentially. Saying the difference of each moment, the fault in this is the same as before. This is said. Commentary on the Compendium on Valid Cognition, Volume Seventeen. Because the co-operative action of the eyes, etc., is for the purpose of mutual assistance, those cognitions will arise in sequence, and those things, such as vajras and hailstones, will be spoken of as being different in each moment. In that way, the cognitions of seeing will also arise in sequence, because seeing the object itself is impossible without cognition, so it will lead to the fault of self-awareness. Seeing itself is simultaneous with knowledge, but it does not exist in previous and subsequent times. Like knowledge, each moment is a different thing. Therefore, for vajras and hailstones, etc., just as before, like lamps, etc., they will be faulty because they lack clarity. Therefore, because causes, enemies, etc., have no form, they lack clarity, and knowledge has the form of things, because clarity cannot be otherwise. The teacher has also shown that knowledge has form, saying, "Memory is also in later times, this which has not been experienced does not exist." It means that knowledge and memory do not have a second way in later times. Because if this memory has not been experienced, that is, has not been experienced differently, then it is not reasonable as knowledge. If it is said that the mind has two ways in terms of what is to be known and what is to be known, but not in terms of form, that is the meaning of the text, then that is not right, because
