If it is said that like me, it becomes futile, the answer is: there is no fault because it is admitted as such, the general is the commonality of the self-nature of things. If it is said that like hair combs, etc., if the self-nature of knowing is a thing, then the general should also become the self-nature of things and the self-nature of clarity? The answer is: here it is said, it is so, the general is also allowed to be the nature of things and the nature of clarity with the self-nature of knowing. Therefore, this fault is not there, like this, the general knowledge is a completely clear experience, and it is also its own nature. If it is said that if the general is the self-nature of knowing, it is its own nature and clarity, how does the general appear unclear? The answer is: things are the general nature with the self-nature of the external environment, and the self-nature is considered by measurement, which is its meaning. Because of considering things, it is the general nature and the unclear nature. If it is said that if knowing appears as the general appearance, then like knowing, the appearance is also different, how does it become general? How does the appearance of knowing coincide with the external environment in perception? And there is no general of the external environment, if there is no seed, how does it become general? The answer is: because of the same nature in everything, because of relying on its contradiction. It is said that, for example, in everything such as variegated and black, the appearance of the cow, the same nature, appears as manifestation. Therefore, because the appearance of seeing and feeling is made into one meaning, the external teachers say it is function. Those external teachers also say that because they are born from the dependence of different kinds of contradictions, or because they are born through the power of the external environment, that feeling also depends on contradictory things, so it is said to be non-deceptive. How does one make a general feeling on the appearance? For what reason is the non-difference of form, etc., the general, not the object of inference? Like this, surely one's own nature is the object of inference, if it is not so, then inference should become non-valid. How is it that if inference only takes appearance as its object, then at that time, because one does not know one's own nature, one should not enter, and does inference hold the general?

It is not the meaning of engaging in external objects. Therefore, one should not acknowledge that things that appear from the general are understood through the form of knowledge. However, first, the general itself is understood through inference, and because it is known by representing the general, the appearance will be understood. If it is not the nature of the particular, then the general cannot understand the appearance either, because doesn't the appearance itself appear as the general there? However, if the general is understood in order to know through representation, then such a general does not have the transmission of appearance. Furthermore, when inferring another kind from one kind, that also becomes endless because of inferring another kind. Therefore, in order to ultimately determine the appearances, some think that form and so on are the general themselves. To that, it is said: Because of what is said, it is not real, because of the collection of senses and fruits. It means that form and so on are not the general themselves. If form and so on are understood by the knowledge of the general, then at that time, the knowledge with the aspect of the general that arises from sound, because it experiences the nature of all appearances such as form and so on, the collection of senses will become meaningless. If the collection of eyes and so on is desired in order to grasp form and so on, then understanding form and so on also arises from sound and so on without senses, then what is the use of senses now? However, the senses can do it easily, like this, the joy of having senses does not exist for those who have lost their eyes. If someone thinks like this, then isn't happiness and so on also understood from sound? If it is certain that happiness is understood from sound itself, then what is the use of senses for complete happiness? Furthermore, the suffering that arises from not having senses is also because even if form and so on are not seen, they exist. If it is said again that even without eyes and so on, clear seeing can arise from sound itself, then at that time, even a blind person can very clearly have form and so on appear in the knowledge arising from sound, then what is the situation of suffering? However, due to the power of karma, even if the continuum of senses and so on does not have results, it will arise, things are not preconceived, because of what?
