That is the action of that. The so-called "that is the action of that" means that the nature of the cognition of objects is self-awareness, and that the appearance that dwells in the mind is itself the basis for establishment. Therefore, the action of self-awareness of that appearance is: because of how it dwells in meaning, it appears just like that. The so-called "appears just like that" means that because in realization, just as one wants the appearance of blue and so on, the meaning of blue and so on dwells, that is, it appears like moving, similarly, that meaning, that is, the nature of awareness, self-awareness appears clearly. Therefore, it should be concluded that the appearance itself is valid. So, if the appearance is valid, therefore, for external objects, the appearance will become valid, and for the nature of knowledge, self-awareness will become the result, therefore, will the objects become different? Answer: Because the meaning dwells in that nature, even if it is self-awareness, it wants cognition of objects. Therefore, the objects are not different either. When observing one's own nature, it is said that self-awareness is the result, because it is the nature of experiencing meaning. The so-called "because it is the nature of experiencing meaning" means that ultimately it is self-awareness, but in name it wants cognition of objects. Why? Because it is the nature of the appearance of objects, that is, the nature of self-awareness. Therefore, for valid cognition and result, the objects are not different either, because in the result of clinging to the external object itself, valid cognition also exists in that, therefore the objects are not different. Although it is like that, then, for external objects, if one clings to awareness as valid cognition and result for external objects, it is said that the external object is self-awareness, because the result depends on clinging. It is not that saying self-awareness is the result depends on clinging, however, when one clings to the cognition of external objects, what will be said about the nature? By observing the nature, it will be said that self-awareness is the result, because that cognition of objects is the nature of self-awareness. Therefore, in terms of ultimate truth, it is self-awareness itself, in terms of name, it is the cognition of objects. The appearance of awareness is experienced, it is valid cognition, self-awareness is the result, valid cognition is other, this is established. So, if the nature of meaning does not appear, however, knowledge itself appears as the appearance of blue and so on, in that case, how to measure meaning?

will change. However, things are similar to knowledge because they are self-nature. If it is measurable, then how can it be known like not seeing things? Here it is said: By the manifestation of such or dissimilar, the cause of knowledge is the thing, and that thing is considered measurable. Regarding this statement, it is not established as measurable because of the appearance of things, nor is it because it is similar to knowledge. However, for that which appears as blue and yellow and other aspects, the thing of knowledge that is similar or dissimilar or dissimilar to that is the cause, and only that should be acknowledged as the measurable thing. Here is the question: If how like that, abandoning the real thing and becoming a manifestation, how can it become a holder of things? That is to say, in any way, in what way, in the way of wanting and not wanting, knowledge appears as self-awareness, the nature of that thing, abandoning the appearance of blue and so on, how can it hold external things? It is not like that. Like this, even if there is no nearby thing, it appears as an object, just like seeing water in a mirage, therefore it is unreasonable to think that it can hold things just by appearance. However, if it is thought that water in other places and times is the object, so that it is recognized as water in a mirage, then how can it be known that water in other places and times is the object of recognizing water in a mirage? Because it appears as the previous water, it is the object of the previous seen object and time, not the current seen, because it is the object of the water of the current time and place. Therefore, the water experienced before is not the object of recognizing water in a mirage, so it is said to be empty of meaning. However, if it is said that the knowledge with harm is the previous knowledge, that is not right, because it will also show that there is no water. In addition, if the object of knowledge is shown in order not to become empty of meaning, then if that place and time have no thing, then the appearance of the aspect of that place and time is empty of meaning. In addition, when the water of another time in a certain place is recognized, it will become that everything can see everything, for example, dreams and so on that have been seen before or experienced in other lives.
