Also, because it is impossible to illuminate (the eyes) simultaneously with (the lamp). If it is said that the eyes facing the lamp make it clear, then what is "facing"? Is it its own nature? If it is said to be its own nature, then the eyes also abide in their own nature and cannot make anything clear. If it is said that facing is different, then it also cannot do anything because it merges into its own nature. Therefore, blue and lamps, etc., are all self-illuminating natures, the difference lies in the association with different objects. Because it is contradictory to be born from itself, if doing to oneself is contradictory, then it is reasonable for it, if self-awareness is only its own nature, how can it be contradictory to itself? Therefore, it is established to say that experiencing yellow etc. is its own nature. Furthermore, even if it knows other things, the knowable and the knower are not reasonable. That is to say, if the mind knows other external things, then the knowable and the knower are not reasonable. In this way, if the mind itself is clear, then when the mind exists, are external things clear or not obvious? If things are clear when the mind exists, then how can it be said that this mind makes it clear? Because at that time there is no difference between mind and blue etc. If there is no difference, if the mind makes blue clear, why doesn't blue itself make the mind clear? If blue becomes unclear, then where does it appear to be in the state of abiding in the nature of blue, how can it be said that blue is the object of different knowledge? Because without understanding the state of brightness, it is impossible to understand the brightness that depends on it. If it is said that appearing as blue is unreasonable, so it is known to be grasping, then is the brightness appearing in blue the mind or the blue? If brightness is the mind, then knowledge itself becomes blue, because it is a self-illuminating nature. If it is blue, then it will not be recognized, because blue is not bright. Appearance hidden
