It is for the sake of abandonment. If a thing does not exist, then its own nature does not exist. How does it appear? Therefore, if the yogi's clear wisdom is the object of the past and the future, then it must be admitted that the past and the future, etc., exist. If it is said so, then it is said here: The eye is exhausted, such as earth, etc., the real is not real, but it is cultivated, the power of transformation is non-discriminating, and it is said to be bright and appearing. It means that it is not the power of habituation that makes the truth appear bright. For example, the Sarvastivadins believe that the nature of pure and unreal mental activity, the exhaustion of earth and water, etc., arises from the power of habituation, and is the non-discriminating with the appearance of brightness and the appearance of brightness. Yogis think so. The impure appearance of bones, etc., does not exist, and the karma of space, etc., does not exist either. Therefore, the real is real, the unreal is unreal, whoever is extremely accustomed, the practice is complete, that is, the clear and non-discriminating wisdom fruit. It means that because the unreal exhaustion of earth, etc., as seen by the yogi, is caused by the power of habituation. Therefore, the truth is the four noble truths with measurement. The unreal is that which does not have measurement. Any thing, if the practice is completed through extreme habituation, that is, reaching the extreme, then whether the thing to be practiced exists or not, it is the fruit of clear and non-discriminating. That is, whoever has the fruit of clear and non-discriminating wisdom is like this. Therefore, the real object produces clear wisdom through the power of habituation. The unreal object, the previous wisdom abides on it, and the later wisdom can make it clear. If so, if unreal wisdom also arises from habituation, then how can the yogi's wisdom become a measure? The answer is: Among them, the previous investigation is like things, what is not deceptive, the direct perception born of practice is allowed, and the rest are close to deception. It means that among these wisdoms of the nature of habituation, which wisdom is a measure, which cannot be denied by inference, has already been in the previous second chapter

Analyzing the reality of the Four Noble Truths, any knowledge that can grasp it, that knowledge born from the power of habituation is considered to be direct perception. Other appearances, such as the earth appearing as exhausted, are erroneous. If a yogi sees the exhausted earth, etc., what then? Does it become untrue? Merely appearing to a yogi does not mean it is true; however, it is like the Four Noble Truths, possessing valid cognition. If measured by valid cognition, the exhausted earth, etc., do not exist, therefore they are untrue. If, by the power of habituation, emanated knowledge has a clear appearance and is direct valid cognition, then conceptual knowledge is not direct valid cognition in its own nature, because it lacks a clear appearance. If conceptualization has an unclear appearance with respect to objects, then with respect to its own nature, conceptualization will not become a clear appearance either. Therefore, how does conceptualization become isolated? On this, the author of the sutra said: "In self-awareness, conceptualization too, is considered valid cognition, but not with respect to the object, because of conceptualization." This means that conceptualization is also clear in self-awareness. Like this, the very nature of conceptualization is a clear appearance, while objects become unclear. Conceptualization is not clear with respect to objects, because one has seen them before, and therefore conceptualizes objects. In its own nature, conceptualization arises without conceptualization, because the object is hidden. Therefore, the teacher proclaimed self-aware direct perception, and to prove this, the author of the Pramāṇavārttika said: "Whatever consciousness grasps sound and meaning, that is conceptualization with respect to that. Its own nature is not sound and meaning, therefore, with respect to that, all is direct perception." This means that any knowledge, with respect to any object of knowledge, the knowledge that grasps the meaning delimited by the sound of speech, that is the conceptualization of applying speech to that object of knowledge. The very nature of knowledge, if it is known to be conceptualization, then it is not the object of sound, nor is it the object of general conceptualization, because the nature of that knowledge does not have speech applied to it, therefore all knowledge is direct perception. Unclear knowledge is because it has abandoned its own nature, so how does one abandon one's own nature?
