Regarding the ground, it is reasonable to say, "With one proximate cause, contradictory results do not arise simultaneously." However, how can ignorance, that is, the nature of non-awakening, become the cause of happiness and so on? Because it is a proximate cause of the same kind. The master himself is the benefactor, and the master also simultaneously appears to contradictory results. For example, a single illuminating lamp, when an owl walks at night, seeing form and not seeing form are inconsistent, while other (animals) that can see things during the day seeing form is consistent. Therefore, happiness and so on, /appear to be transferred to oneself,/one's own nature is the awakened one,/these are born from meaning./ The meaning is that if happiness and so on are of the nature of non-awakening, and if there is form, it will arise, then when manifesting desired and undesired objects, it will be like happiness and suffering being recognized simultaneously. Then, why is it not considered that happiness and suffering are experienced simultaneously for the Buddhas? Because there is no such thing when habitual tendencies awaken. Even if there is an object, happiness and so on will not arise, for example, even if there is a manifestation of form, awakening only arises occasionally, not always. Or, if the habitual tendencies and happiness and so on of others are related, even if the object is close simultaneously, happiness and suffering will not arise simultaneously, if you say so, then, if happiness and so on are related to habitual tendencies, then it is only the nature of awakening, just like memory and recognition. Or, memory is also not of the nature of self-awareness, because memory is the appearance of objects that have the aspects of color and shape. Therefore, if it is said that memory is the cognition of the object itself, then, if the object appears in memory, just like direct perception, then the object of memory will be cognized, and if memory manifests the object with its own nature, then it is impossible not to be direct perception, because manifesting one's own nature is direct perception, and direct perception is not suitable as the definition of other things. Therefore, if the meaning of having a manifest object becomes direct perception, then it is not so. Therefore.
