If (karma) is exhausted, it cannot be connected to other births (lives), therefore it is not that it is not liberated. Again, what will not become exhausted in power is that the previously created actions exist, and those, after being separated from sins, will exist until the end of samsara. However, if one is separated from desire and can only exist for a short time, why can't one remain in samsara like that? The answer is: Because compassion is insufficient, there is no great effort to remain. Those who have great compassion exist for the benefit of others. It means that because the previous actions have been exhausted and compassion is insufficient, there is no desire to exist with great effort, so it is not eternal. Those who have practiced for a long time and have great compassion will exist for the benefit of sentient beings until samsara is empty. If, because of being free from the view of the perishable collection, one initially becomes non-existent, is it because the co-emergent (view of the perishable collection) has not been abandoned? Or from where does existence come? It means that if the path has the power to liberate from afflictions, then the first seeing of the path itself will cut off what is to be abandoned by the stream-enterer, and why is that? Because it is free from the view of the perishable collection. How does the view of the perishable collection not arise in the stream-enterer? Because the path has been realized. The root of faults is ignorance, and that is also clinging to sentient beings. This is how it is proclaimed. Therefore, will the path of meditation become meaningless? It is not like that, because the co-emergent view of the perishable collection has not been abandoned, and the manifest (view of the perishable collection) has been abandoned. The co-emergent view of the perishable collection exists. Because the path of seeing is merely seeing the truth, it only abandons the non-fundamental self-grasping of manifest afflictions. The manifest view of the perishable collection arises from relying on proximity, so the path of seeing itself can prevent it, but the co-emergent view of the perishable collection is because of reliance, so it must be abandoned by the antidote of the path of meditation that has been practiced for a long time. Those who want to abandon the co-emergent (view of the perishable collection), their body will see the co-emergent view of the perishable collection.
