Because he is superior to a Bodhisattva, because he is a Sugata. Therefore, by diligently knowing the benefit of others, this teaching is compassion. Thus it is said, because he is a Sugata, therefore by diligently knowing the meaning of others, the teaching called "scripture" can be used as a measure. From that teaching, compassion can also be understood, otherwise one would not diligently know the meaning of others, thus it is declared. Is it not enough for the Sugata himself to be a valid means of knowledge? What is the use of doing these proofs of having compassion and so on? That is not true, because from that (Sugata) it depends on the benefit of others, and there is no fatigue for the sake of accomplishment. Thus it is said, the Blessed One is not enough to be a valid means of knowledge by wisdom alone, but because there is no deception. However, because there is no deception. From that compassion, the Blessed One is accomplished by relying on the meaning of others, therefore there is no fatigue for the sake of the meaning of others. From compassion, all the meaning of others is done, but it is not complete extinction. Furthermore, with compassion, he acts in a good way, with wisdom he possesses the cause of true accomplishment, because he manifests diligence in declaring, possessing these, therefore he is a valid means of knowledge. Then, what is the need to praise with a true proximate cause? It is said: With that (praise) for the teaching itself, praising the reality of such a teacher, for the sake of accomplishing all of that nature, because inference is also irreversible, having a slightly arising nature, whatever that is, all have the nature of extinction, and so on in various ways, also because seeing this combination. Thus it is said, with the proximate cause of such a thing, the praise possessing the characteristic of a valid means of knowledge, from the Blessed One's proximate cause, the valid means of knowledge itself is accomplished, thus it is declared. Is the Blessed One's proximate cause not direct perception itself? A person with blue knowledge knows blue, but blue

If it is said that "Oh" means "no," then inference is also irreversible, therefore, this is the manifested intention. Sound and so on are reversible, because all that is examined by others is emptiness, only I am the only suchness, because it is said so. Or, because it is seen that all actions of inference for the sake of others that arise slightly are said to be of the nature of cessation. It is said: If not, it will not arise, having this characteristic, it is the basis of inference. To show establishment and pervasion of reason, it is also clearly explained. Therefore, the characteristic of the reason based on inference is that it has the characteristic of not arising if not, that is, because the Bhagavan has shown it in many pervasions. Because that reason, what is to be established, and what does not arise if not, are clearly explained together. Only what the Bhagavan said is valid. Because the Bhagavan is also valid, how can it be unreasonable? Therefore, the Bhagavan first showed that the supreme of qualities is valid. Having prostrated and relied on the feet of the Lama and the virtuous friend Rabjungne, in the commentary on the Pramāṇavārttika composed by Nyima Sēpa, the second chapter on the nature of validity. The commentary called Pramāṇavārttika, written by Nyima Sēpa.
