It is not severance, because actions already done do not perish. Then, how is it said that karma is exhausted? Here it is said: That karma, which can give results by means of other causes, for such karma, the opposing proximate cause is not non-existent. Any karma that can certainly give results will necessarily produce results, and for that purpose, the Victorious One's (Buddha's) person does not need to strive, because it arises solely from power. Anything that is contrary to attachment and so on, and the realization of no-self, etc., arises from that. It is possible to prevent future karma arising from the faults of attachment and so on, but even the realization of no-self does not eliminate karma that has already been done. Then, how do faults and karma that have already been done perish? There is no way to prevent the arising of faults, but it is possible to prevent faults that will arise in the future, and that is because the cause is exhausted, so it does not arise. After that, because the karma he has done does not arise, therefore, it is not reasonable to abandon the karma that has already been done. Even without simultaneous practice, results do not come from non-attachment. Then, if craving persists, karma will arise again, just as, even if relying on karma, craving will not arise, therefore, will one not be liberated? This is not reasonable. It is said: Faults do not arise from karma, the transformation of actions with faults does not come from karma, nor is it for those without inverted discrimination, nor is it desire for happiness. If there is craving, then it will arise from those who strive for results, but it does not arise from those without faults such as desire. Anyone who is free from attachment does not act because he has no craving. However, because virtuous actions can bring happiness, is it necessarily so that one who is attached to happiness will be like that? For those who do not cling to the appearance of self and what belongs to self, and who have no inverted discrimination, is it not the case that they have no desire even for happiness? Therefore, liberation is attained only by exhausting the view of the aggregates, and not otherwise. Showing the four noble truths itself is protection, therefore, from the protection of the nature of showing the four noble truths

It is certain that he is the Sugata. Here it is said: From the protector, thatness and steadfastness, knowing all differences, accomplishment, for the sake of realization, he has gone, for the sake of surpassing the disciples of outsiders. From this, it should be known that from the protector, the Bhagavan is the Sugata. And the Sugata is thatness, steadfastness, and the wisdom of all differences. Knowing the extremely beautiful state is knowing thatness. Knowing without turning back with wisdom is knowing steadfastness, steadfastness is because of not turning back. Knowing all differences without remainder is the wisdom of knowing all aspects, because of knowing the remainder without remainder. By the meaning of realization, it is said to have gone from the realm of the sound of 'ga', because that wisdom exists in the Bhagavan. If the Lokayata knows this by inference, then how does the Bhagavan see it directly? If so, then shouldn't others also know it completely? Because inference has a part that exists and a part that does not exist. If the Bhagavan does not indicate it, it will not exist in one person alone. Therefore, it should be known that the knower of all things and all aspects is the Bhagavan himself. Apart from acting directly with all meanings and all aspects, things like all things are impermanent do not exist, because whatever is not seen, that itself becomes uncertain. Or, we and others may fully understand from the teachings, and it will happen in the same way. If it is not indicated by him, we will not have complete understanding. Therefore, whatever is seen directly and also shown to others, this is certain, but not others. Therefore, from the protector, thatness, steadfastness, and the wisdom of all differences can be accomplished. By knowing thatness, one can surpass the outsiders. By knowing steadfastness, one can surpass the stream-enterer. By knowing all differences without remainder, one can surpass the one who is free from desire, the Shravaka, the Pratyekabuddha, the Bodhisattva.
