The nature of the present is also the same. If you ask, aren't forms and so on the nature? That is not the case, because it would be a fault for attachment and so on to become objects together with the body. It is not the case that the body and attachment are always together. Furthermore, it is not permissible to separate forms and so on, which are said to be the great elements, from the elements, because in that case, the self-nature would become many. Aren't attachment and so on born from objects? Therefore, if there are no objects, even if there is a body, sometimes there will be no attachment? If you ask this, that is not true, because conceptual thought is the object. The object is not a determining factor, because there is no cause of equal share. Is there no certainty of attachment and so on? Or because the cause is near, all minds will all arise. It is said in the commentary: Attachment and so on do not follow the object, nor are they the opposite, because even without the object, they exist from habit. Therefore, the object of forms and so on is not a determining factor, because it is an object indicated by the conception of self and what belongs to self. Similarly, if self and what belongs to self exist, attachment and so on will increase. Because for ordinary people in the world, there is no cause of equal share. Without a cause of the same kind, attachment and so on will never arise. Therefore, they will not eat ghosts, but will only become companions of attachment and so on. Or all the minds of attachment and so on will arise simultaneously, because the cause of attachment and so on, the body, is similarly close. If the attachment and so on of the present time are born from habit, then how do you know that the first mind that is born is born from habit in the mother's womb? If that is the case, then where do you see that all smoke is born from fire? Or, if there is no fire in the smoke, it cannot be certain that fire will arise. If someone says that all the smoke that is seen following the fire is like that. If that is the case, then all the terms of the world will be cut off, because after admitting the relationship between cause and effect, no one will establish terms, and manifest cognition will not make any terms. Because manifest cognition will know that there is an elephant in the best grass.

Since it is not possible, then if one considers it undifferentiated, the names of cause and effect will disappear. If it is said that because one cannot abandon imputation, it is imputed from inferring its kind, then even so, the other world is also nominally said to exist from inferring its kind, just like this world. Therefore, the results such as desire arise from habituating desire and so on, and that habituation also arises from habituating other desires. Happiness and so on arise from beginningless imprints, and are not ultimately true. Therefore, in reality, everything is only suffering, but sometimes it is for the sake of observation. Because it is impermanent, relies on faults, and because it is the power of the cause, it is suffering. It is not self, nor is it blessed. It is not a cause, nor is it blessed. If it is permanent, how can it become a cause? Therefore, many will not arise from one, at different times. Thus it is said. Among them, the truth of suffering is shown from the four aspects of impermanence, suffering, emptiness, and selflessness. Among them, suffering, that is, because of occasional observation, it is impermanent. Permanence is the nature of being constantly visible, therefore it should not be observed occasionally, because the natures of visible and invisible exist by mutually abandoning each other, so it will become contradictory. Because it is the power of the cause, it is also suffering, because everything that is under the control of others is the reason for suffering. Moreover, the word "and" should also express being under the control of habituation. It is also not the nature of self, nor is it blessed by self, therefore self is not a cause, nor is it a blessing, because blessing will become something with action. If there is action, then it is a cause. Then is self a cause? No, because permanent things such as self cannot be a cause of production, and if they do not produce, they will not exist like a rabbit's horn. Therefore, many results will not arise at different times from permanent things such as self. Then, how do the eyes and so on, which are not blessed by self, produce knowledge?
