It cannot be prevented. Because what is comprehended through seeing is not realized through memory, but the result produced by the object of memory is the place related to the present. Or, the object and the subject themselves also have the function of expression, therefore, the senses etc. would be considered as valid cognition, because there is no harm. If you think so, that is not the case, because only the mind is valid cognition, not the senses and desire. Why? Because, for things to be taken and abandoned, the mind is the main thing when entering. It is said, for things to be taken and abandoned, the mind is the main thing when entering, because just having the senses, no one will enter. Even if it is allowed to enter from desire, it cannot indicate the place of entry, so it is not the main thing. If you think that you will enter from desire, then you will not enter without it. If it is not the main thing, then, without having power etc., there will be no entry, therefore, barley etc. will become valid cognition. Furthermore, just as one cannot enter a seen object without desire, similarly, even if there is desire, one will not enter separately and definitely without seeing, therefore, seeing is seen as having the same ability. Therefore, if the consciousness that enters is the main thing, what is its function? Because it can clearly see the place, the mind is the main thing, and desire is only the arising of expression. If that is also valid cognition, then it is too extreme. Repeating again, are the object and the subject themselves valid cognition? That is unreasonable. Because the object and the subject do not increase, therefore it is meaningless, and a valid cognition without result is not worth thinking about, because it can clearly indicate the place of entry, so the mind becomes the main thing in expression, and the consciousness of the senses and desire is not valid cognition. If this is determined, if the result of valid cognition, having the characteristic of entering, is not the sense organ, because it is related to that result, the eye etc. are not valid cognition, however, because it produces the result of valid cognition, that is, the characteristic of undecided understanding, it is valid cognition. The fruit of understanding arises and

Because origination is the work of valid cognition, it benefits the entry itself, so it is thought that the senses are also valid cognition in the same way. Here it is said: Because objects have different aspects, understanding is different. The nature of the object is the aspect of the object, that is its aspect. With the wisdom of knowing the nature of the object, that self-nature is different, that is, the understanding of knowing is different, therefore, wisdom is approached as valid cognition. Thus, the eye and so on are inanimate objects, so they are not valid cognition. However, even if it is not clear, the senses and so on are the cause of generating consciousness. If it is valid cognition, then at that time, the self and the object are also the cause of generating consciousness, so they will become valid cognition. If there is an agent in the consciousness that does not match the nature of the agent and the action, then is it not valid cognition? The person is the agent, and the action is the object itself, because they are the cause of valid cognition? If so, then how is that action known as an object? Answer: Because it appears in consciousness. If so, then seeing itself is also the cause of seeing the object, so it should be considered valid cognition, but the eye and so on are separated from seeing, so they are not valid cognition. If, again, because the aspects of the object are different, the understanding is different, and whatever becomes different because of the difference, that is the excellent establisher of that. The excellent establisher is also the cause of valid cognition. Because it completely eliminates its appearance. The agent itself, that is, the purity and impurity of the senses, because the understanding arising from them is different, how can it be possible to make the understanding different by a non-common cause, therefore, the aspect is the nature of consciousness, so wisdom itself is valid cognition. If so, it will change, but how can the senses not be the establisher, because the understanding arising from purity and impurity is different? Here it is said: Because if that exists, then this exists. Because the existence of that aspect is the cause of completely eliminating this existence and establishing it. That is, it shows that because of the difference in aspects, wisdom becomes different. The eye and so on are like this, because the purity and impurity of their own nature become different, although the understanding becomes different, but because it exists in everything like that, it does not become valid cognition. Thus, the eye cultivated by the eye and so on, generates different consciousness of blue and yellow, etc.
