How does one enter? Because sounds are related to meanings. Then, doesn't sound constitute the difference in form? If one thinks in this way, thinking that it is merely done by the mind, therefore, because of the other's desire to speak. Sounds are not related to meanings. If meaning is accomplished by its existence, then everything is accomplished from everything. Because those sounds exist, the meaning that one wishes to manifest is accomplished. All meanings that one definitely wishes to manifest will be obtained by all sentient worlds. Because what one wishes to speak is dependent on others. Because wanting to speak depends on others, where is sound absent? That is to say, it exists everywhere. If the meaning of that sound is accomplished, then no one will be impoverished. Therefore, the proof accepted by others is not true. Therefore, through impermanence, etc., and Kapila, etc., inanimate objects, etc., because of dying after peeling the skin, those with minds are examined. From this, because the proof is not established, it immediately shows that there is no reason, because the statement is the same. Kapila, etc., the word 'etc.' includes the naked ones. The word 'impermanence, etc.' indicates the nature of being made. In inanimate objects, etc., they act, and from death, etc., it is possible to discern those with minds. The Samkhya school believes that impermanence is inanimate, while the naked ones believe that the sign of dying after peeling off all the bark indicates that trees are sentient. Neither of these is established. The Samkhya school also believes that existence does not arise from non-existence, because they promise that existence itself will manifest. Whatever is the nature of the act of a thing, because one does not understand it, so because one does not understand the measure, one says to the opponent that it is established. Just as there is no reason for those who do not have a mind, it should be shown in the same way. The second reason is not established for the opponent. For example, Buddhists believe that death is the characteristic of the cessation of consciousness, faculties, and life. If death is established, then having a mind is established. Therefore, saying that only dryness is death, this can also be seen in dried meat, etc.

Therefore. The word "etc." refers to sleep, etc., which is not established. The state of mind with sleep is called sleep. Such sleep is not established in trees. Saying that the curling of leaves is the word for sleep is merely a verbal expression, and the establishment of meaning does not exist, thus it is shown. If, because of recognizing a connection, it is thought that fruits and shapes are not signs produced by the mind, then wouldn't the very nature of being made also become not a sign? For that too, recognizing it as different, then how could this be produced from nothing? Or is it that it makes what exists manifest? For that, the first examination is not established for the Samkhya school, and the second is not established for the Buddhists. Because it is not established, is the nature of being made not a sign? The answer is: If the nature of things is not established, if this category is established elsewhere, the difference is not harmful, just as sound is dependent on space. Is the thing said to be the means of proof? If it is not established in the nature of the dharma, then this is intelligence itself, and should be regarded as the characteristic of being unestablished. If the means of proof such as the nature of being made are established, producing no difference or making existence manifest, such a form is not established for what is harmed by difference. Therefore, it is said that when the relationship of cause and condition exists, it is not necessary to think of the difference because of producing non-existence or making existence manifest. Because impermanence is not recognized, it will never be an object in any way, therefore the nature of being made is what makes one understand, thus it is shown. If, for permanence, manifestation is impossible, then the nature of being made will surely be understood, because the manifestation itself of the Samkhya school is said to be the word for the nature of being made. For example, sound, which is the object of the ear, is not like deriving non-establishment from not being a quality of space. For the Samkhya school, is it not the case that producing non-existence by saying the nature of being made is not established anywhere? Therefore, since the expresser is not established, how can one reasonably infer for others? Even if sound is not established, if things are established, they will be established, for example, for the Buddhist regarding the owl, the body, etc.
