That which is such, which is said to reveal the meaning of a single aggregate, that is, to what there is the function of entering and without obstruction. Such a characteristic is the proximate cause of form. From which moment of form, the next moment of form can arise, possessing the distinction of being accomplished by proximity, that is the proximate cause. The cause of taste is the co-operative condition of the proximate cause of form, and thus the proximate cause of taste produces taste. The word "ni" means "because of what," that is, because of what it is so, therefore, here, the ability to produce form, without obstruction, which is the co-operative of the previous moment of form, that is what is inferred as the cause. This is like the proximate cause of the nature of charcoal and so on, which is the transformation of firewood. However, it alone is not its cause, but fire is a co-operative. Fire also produces smoke, and thus, from the fire that has become the co-operative condition of such firewood, smoke arises. From smoke, such fire can be inferred, and the transformation of firewood can also be inferred. For example, the distinction that has been spoken of, the production of smoke by the fire that has been transformed by the distinction can be inferred, and thus such a cause can be inferred, that is the meaning. If that is the case, then the collection that produces form, form and taste, should not be said to be the cause of taste, because when taste is produced, it has not been said that taste depends on form. Therefore, how can form and taste both become dependent on a single collection? From taste, it is appropriate to infer the taste that has become the cause, because without a cause, there is no result. From that inference, the form that has become the cause of form can be inferred. If it is said that without understanding the distinction, the distinguished cannot be understood, if one wants only to understand the form that has become the result, then that depends on change, and that much is not the object of valid cognition. However, if one is not confused that such understanding exists there, then that is the object of valid cognition. That is a person

Because the capacity is not definite for cause and effect, and even if it exists, it cannot be known. Therefore, how can form be inferred by inferring the dharma of the cause? To address this doubt, first, it is explained that there is no confusion about form, which is as follows. The characteristic of producing one's own fruit is the capacity, which is none other than unobstructedness, that is, the function of capacity. The commentary says that the meaning of capacity is explained by "one's own cause." By "manifesting towards the production of fruit," it is explained that the nature of function, that is, unobstructedness, is not necessarily existent. If asked what the function of capacity is, the answer is that without it, it is called tasteless. As long as there is no unobstructed capacity in the cause that produces taste, taste will not arise. It is said that if the cause is not definite for the effect, then the existence of taste itself will become uncertain. However, if there is the statement that "fruit arises from the cause that manifests towards the production of fruit," then the cause of form will also definitely produce form, so form must also exist without a doubt. If it is said that the proximate cause of taste is definitely established from the momentary object of taste that has a proximate cause, but not so for form, because the result arising from its proximate cause has not been established, then it is said, "That itself is the cause of the other." The proximate cause of taste, the moment arising from its own proximate cause, the function of the capacity to produce it, that "other" is the function of the capacity of the proximate cause of form. Because what is to be stated here is unobstructed capacity, therefore, because of the function of what capacity, it will necessarily become the cause there, the form itself that has become the cause, is the meaning of other sounds, but not the meaning of the fruit. If that is the case, then is this function of capacity not the cause of the own nature of the proximate cause of form, because it arises simultaneously? The answer is yes, what is called the function of capacity here is a relation. Therefore, the function of capacity related to the proximate cause of taste is the cause of the function of capacity of the proximate cause of form. Because it arises simultaneously, it is also not that this arises from it. Therefore, it implies simultaneity.
