It is to dispel the doubt of being true. Therefore, in order to separately establish the valid means of ascertainment and to realize the object to be measured, the inference is first explained for the purpose of indicating the method. If not, then the object of discrimination also becomes the energy, and sounds and so on become the measure. If someone says: However, there are many inferences and their support is realized. The answer is: That is not the case, it is said because there is a reversed understanding of it. For the treatises that follow the world and the path of the world, because there is no valid measure that follows the existence of things, those are reversed understandings of inference. Therefore, it is said for the purpose of establishing inference: The so-called " পক্ষཆོས་ (藏文)" is the dharma of the subject to be established, and "དེ་ཆས་ཁྱབ་པ་(藏文)" is pervaded by the dharma to be established, which is the reason, because if the dharma to be established does not exist, it does not exist, and if it exists, then the dharma to be established also exists. Is this merely a narration of the nature of things? Or is it a presentation of the near cause of such a nature being established? To this, because things have become like that, it is not the fruit of realization, and the realization of its nature should be narrated. Therefore, in order to say that the realization of its pervasiveness is the proof, it is said that wherever the nature of the reason is established, it is said there in order to gather this nature. The reason with the nature as described is threefold, only threefold. Why? Because it is certain that it does not arise without it. Because its pervasive nature, it is certain that it does not arise without it, it exists only in the three, because it is related to its own to be established. The reason with the nature of connection is threefold. Therefore, it is said that it does not arise without it, the nature of the connection is certain, and because it is certain, the three are the reason. It is certain that it does not arise without it, it is what is desired for the three, and from this it is determined that it is the reason. In this way, establishing that it is certain that it does not arise without it on the three, here admitting its pervasiveness is following things.

It is merely a statement. However, this is capable of establishing such a thing, therefore, by whatever it is established, that itself establishes it there, that is what is said. If that is the case, then for the fourth thing, etc., which cannot be established, would its part be pervasive in things? If asked, it is said that it is not, this is saying that there are three types of seemingly valid reasons, other than the fourth, etc. Whatever is stated as the reason for this desire, that exists only in the three, and not in others, therefore it is a seemingly valid reason. This itself can be considered a definition here, because the sign (हेतु ,hetu, cause) is the result of understanding what is to be proven. If there is something that establishes, then when there is something to be proven, there, from that, it is reasonable to understand what is to be proven, therefore what is to be proven will be understood. Understanding from that to there is from the nature of the subject. If there is something that establishes, then the understanding of what is to be proven exists, this is co-presence. If that is uncertain, it will not be understood. Uncertainty is also, even if there is something that establishes, sometimes there is no thing to be proven. When, conversely, if there is no thing to be proven, then the non-existence of the establisher is established, at that time, if there is something that establishes, then there is no dispute about the understanding of what is to be proven. Therefore, the limbs of the understanding of what is to be proven are only these three ways. If it does not exist, then non-existence is not self-nature, because for the sign that has become a thing, there is no non-existence of the nature of non-existence. If asked, whatever does not exist will not change in that way, here, the nature of things is not shown as the dharma of the sign, because co-presence is also not the dharma of things. Like this, if there is fire, then the nature of producing smoke itself will become the dharma of things, if there is smoke, then there is fire, this is not the dharma of things, because it does not exist in each moment, and other continuums have not been established either. Therefore, the definite thing that relies on the moment, relying on this, becomes a continuum, this, if it exists, it exists. If the establishment of defining meanings separately is established by the relationship being the root, then how does the manner of understanding arise, because it is not contradictory. For the reason of the nature of the reason, there is no different dharma.
