Because there is no term "is," because for it, the invisible is incomprehensible, and the term "exists" is impossible. If it is established, then it is not to be proven, is it? Even so, if the act of proving is the ultimate result of understanding, then the term "without knowledge," etc., itself becomes what is to be proven, is it? When stating reasoning, if the venerable one understands it in this way, that is merely his wish. It shows the absence and presence of the cause of itself and the opposite. For one invisible non-apprehension, because there is doubt about its existence. For another non-apprehension, because of the opposite, it is understood that it does not exist. If there is a cause for the term "exists" here, then there will be no doubt. Therefore, because there is no result, it is said here that there is no own cause. In the future as well, because there is an understanding of the opposite, it is proven that there is a cause of the opposite. If for the invisible non-apprehension, there is no cause for the term "does not exist," that is existence, because for it, there is no visible non-apprehension, and its cause is also itself. Therefore, should it also be said that the term "does not exist" has the result of refuting? Yes, because the statement is the meaning of near indication, it is merely a statement. When stating reasoning, even if one does not state what is not different from it, it is not that one does not understand. Among these two non-apprehensions, the invisible non-apprehension is a valid cognition for the thing itself as stated, but it is not to closely associate the opposite of the reason and, through the word "etc.," to prove the absence of a mind free from desire, etc. Why? Because there is doubt. Merely not understanding, one cannot be certain that there is no mind free from desire, or that there is no reason for what is not to be proven. The second is that proving the opposite and the absence of other things, etc., through reason, that is a valid cognition, because it has a definite result. The thought is that the definite result itself is a valid cognition. If the opposite is not from the non-apprehension of nature, but from the non-apprehension of cause and pervasion, is it? Yes, but it is included within it.

Therefore, to explain these two, it is shown in this way, in order to show that they are included in the category of that kind. The so-called "that also" refers to the second kind of non-manifest appearance, thinking that the first is not so. The so-called "four kinds" refers to four classifications. If those things that are shown as classifications are placed in the category of other things that can be established, why are they not established? Why are they placed in the non-manifest classification? The answer is: "By the difference of combination," meaning that here, it is not possible to combine merely through the difference of combination, because there is no difference, so it is one. Through other combinations, it is merely multiple forms, so how can it be another established thing? Explaining the difference of forms is the so-called "contradiction and result." Contradiction itself will be explained. The so-called "result" is also the nature of dependence. Therefore, whatever depends on "result" should depend on the contradiction that is currently applicable. Therefore, the so-called "contradiction and result are established" refers to the manifestation of contradiction and the manifestation of the result of contradiction. The cause and essence are not universally established. The so-called "nature of being observable" refers to difference. The so-called "meaningless" refers to the thing to be established. If it is said that "in this way, the meaning of the word itself is excluded," that is not possible, because the non-manifest nature will disappear, because for the same thing, establishment and refutation are not allowed. If it is established that a thing does not exist, then if there is no cognition of it, it will not arise, and the word is also the same. Therefore, because it cannot be refuted, induction is reasonable. Because the non-manifest is compliant, its form itself is the image of the scripture, so it is said "how many refutations." By the reason of "if it does not exist, it does not arise," it is not possible to refute and infer accordingly, because the essence does not exist, which contradicts the object of the realm. If it is said that one should infer that the self also does not exist by other things, then it will become the cognition of other things, not the cognition of refutation. If it is said that one should infer other things that are cognized as non-existent when they are cognized, then the cognition of what is non-existent when it exists is existent.
