It should be realized in this way. Therefore, it is logical to say that "the non-existence of non-existent things is only non-apprehension." Therefore, like this, the characteristic of knowing and the object of knowledge are not apprehended. Realizing that the object of focus is non-existent, just as it is said, things themselves are non-existent, therefore realizing that things themselves are non-existent. In this way, it is not that one realizes the non-existence of things more thoroughly, but only that realization arises. Therefore, terminology is what needs to be established. Having the ultimate goal of realization, in the act of establishing, it will become that kind of result. How does one understand the establishment of sound and terminology? Because by what one realizes as it is, the meaning here can be accomplished by abiding in its own object without establishment, because one's own cause is certain. If sound also transforms like realization, that is impossible. Therefore, it is said, "for the agreement." If there is an agreement, then entering is the sound that is certain like the agreement, or definitely combining the establishment of meaning, promising to enter. Obtaining the desired result, taking the meaning to be accomplished as one's ultimate goal, the act of focusing on meaning is terminology. Precisely because of this, the example of mere sound becoming the ultimate truth. For example, it is said, "for example." The gathering of a cow and its mane, etc., because the meaning is the same, there is only a difference in sound, just as there is a difference in essence and non-essence itself. Meaning is like existence and non-existence, meaning is imputed, and there is no difference. Even so, this reason only indicates that the subject is established by the object. As it is said, the meaning of negation is the ultimate goal of other existence, therefore, for those who realize, in order to accomplish the meaning that needs to be accomplished, promising in that way is conventional. For that characteristic of non-apprehension, indicating this object of other non-existence, and then entering, just as indicating the gathering of mane etc., and then entering to be called a cow. Here, if one thinks "this is a cow," because the object is not different, the knowledge of the gathering of mane etc. is also not different, even so, the difference is only in sound, which is an example, just as before. Or, for what reason the mane etc...

When one recognizes "this is also a cow," one understands the meaning of what is to be accomplished by the practice of the cow and engages in it, not merely recognizing the gathering of the scrotum and so on. For example, when one recognizes that the existence of the other is itself the absence of things, just as one seeks solitude and engages in it, therefore, there is a distinct knowledge. In this way, those who refute that knowledge is the accomplisher of the absence of things, things, and the absence of things, and say that the example is not established, their refutation of the example not being established is also eliminated. What he said is, "Is that so?" If the absence of things is only characterized by non-perception as a means of valid cognition, then where there is non-perception, how can one recognize the absence of things and recognize it in that way elsewhere? Nowhere is this the nature of the object of other means of valid cognition. If that is so, is this another means of valid cognition? If, like non-perception, manifest cognition also does not recognize the absence of things, then it will become so. If that is so, since it could be the object of another means of valid cognition, the example is not established. Even if one says it is the object of another means of valid cognition, if one does not prevent the consciousness that is the object of that, one cannot independently recognize things and the absence of things. For those who say that it is established by a means of valid cognition, how will they explain that it is not established due to the contradiction in meaning? If one does not prevent the consciousness that is the object of that, one cannot negate it. The one who wants to know, "Is there consciousness? Or is there not?" when seeking its clarity, because consciousness does not appear, will say, "There is not." Therefore, there also, when seeking non-perception, it will become endless, as has been said. Or, if the absence of consciousness is established by manifest cognition, then since the object of other means of valid cognition is eliminated, one should subsequently recognize its object as has been said. If, like non-perception, things and the absence of things are established by the existence of the other, therefore, if there is an example that is unrelated to the object of other means of valid cognition and is not established, then non-perception will become independent of engagement, because it is established by manifest cognition. If it is certain, in order to prevent this fault from occurring, one only accomplishes non-perception.
