It should be said that it is. If so, it becomes an unestablished example, because it is unreasonable not to understand things that are established by direct perception, and it is also unreasonable to accept the proximate cause if it is not there, is it? Answer: It is said, "Even if the object has been understood." If the mind of the non-existence of things changes because of the existence of other things, even so, there are some who do not understand the non-existence of things in it. For example, just as one thinks that the chief of the ministers exists, and thus arises the characteristic of focusing on milk, but does not understand that there is no invisible yogurt. Therefore, even if it is direct perception, it depends on the invisible, so from that, the example becomes unestablished, and that one is not said to be the establisher. Since knowledge and so on are those with prior conditions of objects, it is said that for knowledge with two invisibles, as the result of prevention, there is no difference. Here, because it is the framework of the treatise, it is said so. In this way, these two invisibles are the same in terms of the result of negating the expression of existence. A consciousness that is not the nature of experience cannot exist. Therefore, it can be obtained to say that a certain experiencing consciousness is two invisibles. That is because, when all other things that are different from one's own object are invisible, its appearance and non-appearance will not exceed two situations, so they become two invisibles there. In this way, both are to establish the negation of the expression of existence. The word "like this" expresses this way. What is that way? It is said, "Because the cause of oneself and the opposite do not exist and exist." For invisible things, for one invisible, there is no cause of one's own cause of the expression of existence visible; for visible things, for the visible, there is the invisible of the appearance of the cause of the expression of the cause of the opposite. The opposite cause is also the cause of establishing the expression of non-existence of existence, if it is not so, it will not be established that the opposite cause exists from that. Showing that the opposite cause exists means showing that its cause does not exist, otherwise, in both, the negation of the expression of existence is the same.

Since in stating, if there is no cause for the term 'existence,' then it should be stated that there is a cause for the term 'non-existence.' Why then is the term stated? Precisely for this reason, the word 'refutation' is placed nearby. From the statement of no cause itself, whatever is stated in this way is to eliminate the establishment of both appearance and non-appearance. This is not because the cause of the term 'non-existence' arises from existence, and the cause of the term 'existence' ceases from non-existence, because both actions do not exist. However, the establishment of the term 'non-existence' itself is the prevention of the term 'existence,' because if that is established, there is no doubt that it will enter. Therefore, the way to prevent the term 'existence' here is different, because it is established through the establishment of the opposite of it. Because the place itself is the object of perception, whether it is a visible pot or an invisible flesh-eater, etc., that is the nature of perception. Therefore, this one non-perception, in relation to two objects, exists in two forms of the nature of non-perception, whether it is visible or invisible. Therefore, since this itself is the nature of appearance and non-appearance, just as the nature of the pot to be established is non-existence, this itself is also the knowledge of the existence of flesh-eaters, etc., and the non-existence of sounds, etc. The object of establishment and the object to be established are the ultimate meaning of the nature of abiding. Therefore, the prevention of the term 'existence' is not to be established by the non-existence of things themselves. Non-entry is not the result of this, because that is not a knowable dharma. The statement 'not to be entered' is also not the action of valid cognition. At that time, what is to be established there? Is it entry, or non-entry, or the meaning of action? None of them are possible, because it is not desired, and it is not to be established, and it is not a thing that relies on the sound arising from convention. Therefore, the prevention of the term 'existence' is the thing itself, and it is also the opposite of what does not exist when there is something. That is the perception of the direction and so on. The nature of knowledge and the object of knowledge is possessed by the non-perception of non-appearance.
