Therefore, existence itself should be established. Otherwise, as the measurer, the valid cognition would be in a neutral state, thereby maintaining its own nature. If it is said that "non-entity is without own-nature," then how is that to be established? If, in establishing the absence of own-nature, there is some slight establishment, then it will not be established as the absence of own-nature, because self is that very own-nature. If there is no establishment at all, then what need is there to refute "how is the absence of own-nature to be established?" If so, how is it said that "the very absence of own-nature is non-entity?" It is merely said thus, but that alone does not make it the object of valid cognition. For example, saying "permanence is of the nature of being immutable, connected with the three times," and so forth. That is not the object of valid cognition, nor is there establishment, because such a thing is impossible. The statement is not contradictory either, because it is merely of the nature of revealing reason. This reasoning is stated for those who are confusedly thinking that non-entities possess other natures. If one admits that an entity changes, then that itself is a non-entity; what else is needed? That would become another meaning, not a non-entity, because change is other. If one does not admit change, then because it itself is existent, what is this "non-entity"? For this, there is not even a little own-nature, because it is merely saying "it does not exist." Therefore, this "objectless" is not measurable, and the meaning of non-entity is also not measurable. Valid cognition arising by its own nature arises from existence itself, and valid cognition arising not by its own nature also measures that existence itself exists. Whatever is non-existent, or its non-existence, is not to be produced by valid cognition or measured as existing. If it is said, "it should be measured as non-existent," then because it or its non-existence is not even slightly existent, what is to be measured? Therefore, whatever does not exist, whether there entity or non-entity, is in no way measurable. Therefore, the pot vanished, along with the object focused on the place empty of the pot.
