Because it is recognized in itself, it is said to be without essence. Therefore, by saying "thus," it explains how to approach, and after approaching and showing, it explains that there is no thing. By saying "this has no self-essence at all," it explains that the self-essence is different from the otherness of the opposite essence, just because there is no other thing, and that there is no essence. Explaining the meaning of the first verse, "where to what," is "the sound to be laughed at," and the combination is the same. In order to dispel becoming otherness, explaining the half verse "that" from the sounds is "rejecting otherness." Explaining "that itself by otherness," is "that itself." Showing what is included by the word "also" is "by the word, otherness." If difference itself is the meaning, then how is it said "this is different to another"? Explaining with the form of the treatise, it is "that is that difference," when saying that it becomes a difference to be said, for a meaning different from what is to be said, like rejecting what is said, it is used as a distinction. Explaining the reason. "Existing in one," and so on. The difference to be said is, by saying "by that difference," it is said that it is recognized by the superior difference. If it is not something with characteristics, how can it become a characteristic? The answer is, it is said "that recognition," because it is certain like a characteristic, recognition itself is for being recognized. By showing "this has no characteristic and no possessor of characteristics," explaining "at that place someone makes a characteristic," is "in some meaning." Thus, here, understanding difference is only recognition, not a thing of characteristic. Saying that is distinguishing

Not only that, as previously stated, it is called "without contradiction." The so-called "absence of following for the one without contradiction" means that in some minds, how is it empty of contradiction that contradicts others as shown? The so-called "contradiction of the one without following" means that contradicting from some things is also empty in some things. The reason is explained as: "One follows," which means that understanding arises only because the combination of sounds is not a thing. It is explained that since it is empty in something, even the contradiction of the mind alone does not exist, that is, the so-called "as such," because there is no possibility of completely abandoning one and dwelling in something, so there is no contradiction without following. In this way, if there is no entry into something, then the mind will not contradict something, then how can contradicting from that thing be empty of following? Therefore, this treatise should be explained in this way, and those who only explain the meaning of words are incorrect, which is known by those who understand the Commentary on Pramana. Since it does not enter into anything, the meaning of the tree expressed by the sound of the tree is a different thing, and the absence of negation that is indirectly determined by understanding it and is not on the tree is another different thing, it should be said. Showing the two different classifications that should be discarded is similar to following the heretical sects, so it is meaningless. Because they also admit the contradiction discarded by the power of establishment. The meaning of the word tree is not non-existent, because like "non-Brahmin," it does not understand the complete purification through the meaning of negation. The contradiction itself will not become non-existent, because direct perception will also become a fault with different objects. Even if the tree is understood, it is understood as the negation of absence, then this itself depends on becoming the meaning of the sound. There is no difference between establishment and absence, so what else is needed? From definite grasping, the mind enters something and contradicts something, which is following and contradicting, so how can this be on the tree?
