Because I think this would lead to both being the same and different. Therefore, even if there is a different cow, if it is "one cow," then others will also become cows, which is not because if its own essence is not a cow, even if there are others, it is not a cow. Even if it is a cow itself, the others are meaningless. Therefore, even if the cow itself has others, it will not be thought that what is not a cow is a cow, but it will become having the cow itself. Because by association, the other identical self-nature becomes clear, if it is said that "because it is the same as that," then, in order to welcome and refute that doubt, it is said that "not because." Dependence itself is reasonable, but association is not. Very excessive examples have already been shown, such as numbers and so on. In order to understand "the same," because there is no different wisdom from clear things, it is said that "there is not," because the other party thinks that it is being established upside down, so it is refuted again by saying, "If they are the same, then." It means that if clear things are all the same, then how can they be grasped by different wisdom? Clear things are the same and are grasped by different wisdom. Therefore, the same wisdom itself is these non-identical wisdoms. Its meaning is that if clear things are grasped by the same wisdom, then how can they be grasped by these non-identical wisdoms? What is said as "the same" is just this, like this, if the same itself is regarded as different knowledge, then it will also become cows and horses. Therefore, when this returns from different things, it is understood as not the same. In order to refute this non-identical knowledge itself, it is explained by saying, "When seeing that." If it depends on difference, then when the non-identical self-nature appears, if it is understood as "the same," then if this would become understanding non-identity in different things, then that does not exist, it has already been shown. Even if there is non-identity in different things, but because there is no same fire, it is not understood that way. Now, in order to show what the same itself is that is understood when understanding what, then, if asked, "Then what is it?"

As previously mentioned. Therefore, having explained it in this way, it is called "like a single fruit." This is said in this way, it is not that they are the same because of their differences, but that they are the same because of their own nature. For example, a mottled cow can also be milked and used for plowing, and so is a yellow cow. Likening it to a single fruit is a close analogy, a mottled cow is a cow, and a yellow cow is also a cow. If that is the case, wouldn't it be admitting that the universal is not different? Arguing like this is childish. Where would it become that the universal is not different? The mottled cow can be milked and used for plowing, but the yellow cow does not have the same characteristics. If the nature is the same, then it should not be the same, not because it has other differences, but because merely by its own nature, one is a cow, and even though it is different from that, the other is also a cow, therefore it is the same by its own nature, not by the nature of others, it is merely a difference, not a non-difference. Therefore, just as there is no universal, it is unreasonable to understand it as the same and as cow-cow. Therefore, understanding it as a cow is not measuring it as difference or non-difference, however, even if it has been determined as difference, this is also a cow, and that is also a cow, the object of that understanding is only the ultimate state of each individual's own nature. Therefore, the nature of understanding it as a cow, the understanding of mottled cows etc. is not wrong. However, relying on seeing it, when understanding sounds etc., because it is like that for one, when understanding it like seeing it, it leads to an unspeakable understanding of the error of difference, which can be inferred to some extent. Therefore, here, whether one advocates the universal or clings to the absence of the universal, see who is an expert in understanding. Do not say that inference follows understanding, and understanding follows inference. The connection is the meaning of "I." Knowledge of meaning refers to knowledge of the universal. This is mixed together in a mistaken way, as it has been said, understanding it as non-different.
