Because it does not intervene, the clarity shown by a single subsequent nature is different, so the consciousness of non-difference is impossible to exist. Like that, if it is thought that the different does not appear, then this argument depends on the established tenet and is shown to have no intervention. Whoever closely establishes this, closely shows that, therefore, it is said that the appearance of non-difference itself has abandoned the appearance. When it is said that the consciousness of non-difference is unreasonable for the different, then the consciousness of non-difference does not exist at all for the different, because that is not an object with its own characteristics, and it is answered without finishing the statement. Even if that is admitted, answering without finishing the statement is only the difference of that consciousness, and the appearance of difference does not exist at all. If the appearance is how different, then it is said, because it holds that those differences are the same. The appearance of non-difference, appearing as one, the one itself appearing, is not appearing as the same, when two mutually different appear, because it is established that here it is known that this is the same as this. For non-difference, it is not known like that. When focusing on the inner vase, when focusing on the rosary, there is no knowing that that is the same as this, but it is said that it is that itself. Therefore, for the consciousness that intervenes by thinking it is the same, because there is no appearance of difference itself, it is not contradictory to be the object of difference itself. If such a knowing arises, this is a cow, and this is also a cow, is it not said to be the same? It is true. However, this itself is said to be the knowing of the general, because the other party admits that only for things that have other generals and are made from the same, there will be this kind of consciousness. There, the appearance of non-difference itself does not exist, because it is known that this is a cow, that is similar to this. If it appears as non-difference, then it will become that the cow itself is this. Therefore, this is not appearing as non-difference, so it is not contradictory to be the object of difference itself. Explaining this is, for those, the appearance of non-difference does not exist at all. Here, the other party, in order to establish the appearance of non-difference itself as the doctrine, refutes it by saying, if

That is, the two. The thought is this: Where one thing appears, there it will be realized that "this is that pot." Where only differences appear, empty of some form, there it will be realized that the ox, horse, man, and elephant are different. If it is not different, but has the same nature, then because each appearance has the power of the complete generality, it is realized of those who have become similar that "this is an ox, this is also an ox." Therefore, if it is said that because of holding similarity, difference appears, how should it be said? The answer is: It is not so. This is explained by "however." The appearances have generality, and the realization that both are holding, so the different appearances, although there is one different thing, do not become the same in their own nature. Even if both are held, how can they become similar? However, it will be realized that "whatever this appearance has, that also has." The realization that "this is an ox, this is also an ox" is not possible to hold both, but it becomes "this has ox-ness, this also has ox-ness." The realization that ox-ness is not different from its own basis, then it is not appropriate to realize that both have this generality, as mentioned before. If it is not the nature of similarity that makes things similar, then how can the nature of similarity not be different? Difference also arises from connection. If here it is a similar and non-different nature, then because of falling into one thing, the difference of appearance will no longer exist, which is what is realized by measurement. Even if there is difference, these have similarities. Therefore, the similar nature of all appearances is only difference.
