If it is said that the ground changes, that is not the case. If the general and those who possess it are different, then the non-erroneous nature of recognizing as non-different will not be established. If it is said that because of understanding by adding an increment there, it is understood as non-different, then how can one add another increment to another without being mistaken? If it is the mistake itself, then that is reasonable, just like saying "This is dust." Even if one stick is connected to many, how can the stick-holder who possesses it not be connected? That is because it possesses one stick, and the incremented possessor of it becomes its own nature, and only those are mixed, not the stick. Therefore, it is not possible for different things to be mixed by possessing one thing. For that very reason, the nature of different and non-different is not general, because when saying "This is a cow," both different and non-different appear, it will become a fault, because it will not become non-different and have the same taste. If the parts of "cow" and "this" are not different, then they will not become a common basis, just like saying "cow, cow." Therefore, is that itself different knowledge? If it is said that this is a distinction between different and non-different, then here, there is no non-different understanding that is preceded by the appearance of different, but when understanding "cow," the part of "this" that is not understood becomes understood, and that in the mind is also only non-different. Therefore, there is nothing here that is understood as different, but only non-different with the same taste. Therefore, how do different and non-different appear as different? At that time, this is not abandoning the different. If it is said that it exists but is not expressed in words, that is not the case. If there is no difference, then entering and not entering are not possible. If the different is other than the non-different, then there will be an experience of entering and exiting, because what is non-different is itself different, so how can one take some and abandon others here? There is nothing to be understood about the dharma called different or non-different, but what is understood as non-different in the white nature of the cow itself is not the nature of different, so its place.

At that time, realization transforms into the sixth or one aspect of the existent. Saying "This is a cow," one cannot realize the very nature of the cow in this place. Even if one realizes emptiness, how can one assert the aspect of difference and non-difference? Therefore, this realization, if analyzed, should not be non-erroneous; if it is erroneous, it is reasonable. The explanation for this is "due to the power of error." Error is not appropriate in terms of clarity, but only in terms of attachment. The aspect of clarity is also not erroneous, because it is the very nature of the cow, and therefore it is realized only as such. Because the realization of non-difference is not established. Because it is realized as being called a cow. Having thus established it as being inverted, things are produced only by the very nature of things. To shape this treatise, it is explained: If there is no reason. That is to say. Those things themselves are the reason for error, but not all of them are, as it is explained, the meaning of those is doing that thing, just as one perceives the appearance of a cow from speckled things and so on. The meaning is not the cause of habit, but it is consciousness itself, as it is explained, that is, "through the door of experience." From the very consciousness of discrimination comes the habit of discrimination, and when those are awakened by experiencing things, they generate certainty at that time. Therefore, through the door of experience, things are the cause. The habit of discrimination is also the cause of discrimination, and to explain this meaning, it is said "having the result of error." The conclusion is that things are the cause. Therefore, having thus established the tenet, it is held that the cause of the common knowledge of similar things is only the clear ones, and not the common ones. For dissimilar things, also, with the error of portraying the nature as other, it becomes a minor common cause belonging to that category. In order to refute the acceptance of others, and to eliminate the fact that both correct and inverted knowledge are common reasons, it is said "mirages and so on also." For mirages and so on, which are dissimilar to water, the realization of water arises.
