Although the faults of the image itself are the same, it shows the difference in the qualities of self-nature, so following the treatises of Master Dignāga, he established treatises with the object of eliminating others. Because he wanted to completely eliminate all the faults that are in accordance with his own realization and following, he relied on the previously stated reasons. The explanation is, what would the refuters say? For the time being, if it is said that the meaning of the sound related to refutation is the same, that is not correct. Because according to the views of the refuters, the cognition of sound is clinging to non-things that are different from things, and that is also clinging to a single self-nature in a reversed way, therefore, for things that have concealment, etc., and are made objects by a single clinging, even if one of them is expressed, the same cognition will arise for other things that are made objects because of such clinging. Therefore, there will be no fault of infinite extension. Precisely for this reason, self-nature following is also reasonable. Saying "there is nothing related to refutation" and "refutation is cutting off superimposition," etc., and "what is the reason for reversal," etc., has already been explained before. Since the boundaries of refutation are the same, the knowledge of self-nature following should not become correct knowledge. Saying "because one has not recognized the self-characteristic or common characteristic of non-things, one will not intervene" is also incorrect, which is called due to delusion. For things that are not self-characteristics, one will also cling to them in this way due to delusion. If even if one does not describe it with sound, one will recognize it in this way from clinging to things that appear as one, and thus when pointing to other self-characteristics, one will recognize "there is a cow here" or show it to others. Even so, how can one find a cow? Saying "the so-called thing does not deceive" is what is said. Starting from the cow itself, relying on the habit of experiencing the cognition of abandoning the cow, the follower arises, therefore that cognition is obtained from that cognition. If because sound is not a valid cognition, how can there be a kind of non-deceptive word? That is easy, if the knowledge of the cow and

If merely realizing the nature of being connected to non-entity, why is it said, "There is a cow here"? If relying on the cow, it will definitely be non-deceptive, but if not relying on the vase, because knowledge is not its object, so when the vase is found, how could it not be non-deceptive, but instead become the opposite argument? To this, it should be said that it is precisely because of the conceptualization of the cow itself as a cow that it becomes a form that follows along, so it is said that it is non-deceptive to it, but not to the vase. As it is said, this is what is non-deceptive, and others are not. Applying the previously stated form here, if things arise from things, it will not become confused, because it will become true. If it is confused, how can it become non-deceptive? To this, temporarily saying that it is confused is not because it has abandoned the dharma that contradicts confusion, but because it is more attached to it, so it establishes the tenet of confusion itself. If what is born from things is appearance itself, it will become true, but that is non-existent, and even so, because there is more attachment to it, it is confused. It is said that there is also confusion in what is born from things, which is to say, to hold a jewel as a jewel in the light. If you doubt that it is confused and will become deceptive, to dispel this doubt, it is said that it is not. Because seeing the light of the jewel is said to be confused. The reason is also stated, which is "the characteristic of confusion is." Confusion is a reversed appearance, and if it does not exist, it will not arise, because if it does not exist, it will not arise, so it is non-deceptive, even if it does not appear there, it is non-deceptive because if it does not exist, it will not arise, what contradiction is there? It is not said that without appearance there is no non-deception, but because if it does not exist, it will not arise, so it will become like that. Therefore, it is said that it is not appearance. Not grasping things themselves is the reason, if you grasp things, there will be the faults mentioned earlier, so it is said "for things." If one is not an agent but is more attached to the agent, abandoning entry, if one wants to establish the mind with sound and enter as its own nature, then it will only become non-entry, because there is no dharma of its own characteristic there.
