That is what is said. If it becomes the same as this because it is related to that one, then at that time, because there is a unique connection with those things, it will become universal. If it is not like that, then it is not the nature of universality, because it would also lead to numbers and so on becoming universal, that is its meaning. In order to refute this, the other party says: If, etc., then the universality is specifically stated from numbers, etc. Where is it that the non-different statement and the thing that is the cause of wisdom are not spoken of? There, saying "there is a unique connection with those things," the saying "with it" and the distinction "to those things" are transformed and connected. If the unique connection with those things is said to be the universal nature, then it is reasonable because that is the reason for the entry of speech and understanding. Precisely for this reason, how can other things be treated from other perspectives? Such an answer is also acceptable. If it is not like that, how can one debate and investigate without arguing? One's own characteristics, what is the only reason for the non-difference of knowledge and speech for those things? That is universality. Numbers, etc., are not like that, even if two itself is the basis of numbers, there is no non-different speech and understanding for different kinds of things. To this, how is it said? Things are different, how can knowledge arise about other things through other perspectives? When asked in this way, others say that if from the general nature existing in falsehood, like the eye knowing things, such an understanding arises for those things, then, because those things do not have such a nature at that time, without an object it will become confused, whether it is from one's own proximate cause or from others, what is the difference in understanding such an aspect? After thinking in this way, it is said, "because it is related to it." This is what is said: When this non-different thing exists in those different things, the non-different knowledge that takes me as its object will enter those things, because those things are understood to be non-different from it, so it will become the cause of non-different understanding for those things, and the understanding that takes it as its object will also understand those things, then there will be no contradiction. If that is the case, then what about numbers?

Saying "becoming the very nature itself" refers to numbers and so on. To this, not understanding its intention, arguing with the previously stated intention, i.e., "if it is not the nature of generality." As previously stated, these are not non-differentiating causes of expression and understanding, therefore numbers and so on are not its very nature. How and so on, by clarifying with what intention it is expressed, refuting it, i.e., "isn't it examining what the nature of generality is?" One reason for the non-differentiation of knowledge, expression, and is generality, this is expressing the entity of generality, i.e., "numbers and so on that are not the nature of generality will not become faults," this is what is expressed. It is not the nature of generality, but will become other, how to examine. If the examination is related to the generality related to the present situation, then knowledge will enter into other things that are related, therefore it is generality, i.e., it is the nature of generality. Even so, it is because of the connection. The explanation was given for the case where the nature of generality is like that. Also from things that are related to many things, matter is related to many branches, one exists among them. Numbers also exist in things that have numbers. Because actors have the characteristic of existing from one to many, understanding that the cause of non-differentiation itself exists, so knowledge enters from them into many things. Because of that reason, matter and so on that are related to many things are the nature of generality. Expressing it this way, when knowledge is generated through one's own close transformation, it becomes the very cause of knowledge without error, and also becomes generality itself. This is done by associating with it. If it is not so, then the only thing itself will be understood as the only one, therefore it will not become the basis for understanding as one in the manifested things. Therefore, because of separating from them, it will be attached to them themselves, therefore when abiding in generality itself, what is the difference from numbers and so on? Just like this, they also abide in the nature of one to many. Therefore, matter, numbers, and actions are also related to one to many, therefore, how one's own
