It has been abandoned. When the mind becomes like that, things appear to be without difference. Why is that? Because the very nature of the mind itself clings to the manifested things. When it clearly appears as without difference, it is understood that things also appear as without difference. In general, things themselves are also the same, but the discriminations made by the mind through this nature do not exist in the ultimate truth, because their respective natures are different. Now, let's explain the first verse: The mind with discrimination is... Different from speckled things, opposite to horses, etc., that is, the speckled things themselves. This explains the reversal. Discrimination arises dependent on such things. The way of dependence is as mentioned before, either due to excessive clinging, or due to experience, the discriminating mind that holds the nature of phenomena as the cause, arises following the attention of experiencing things, therefore it is dependent on things. Without making the individual natures of those things appear different, it universally shows those things. How can one make the differences not appear? It is through mixing, that is, mixing things. And how is that done? It is by clinging to the non-different aspect of oneself. When it excessively clings to the thing itself, since it will become like the thing, excessively clinging to the thing itself is excessive clinging to the thing. Therefore, this means that because of excessively clinging to the non-difference of oneself to the thing, thereby causing things to be clung to as without difference, therefore these things are mixed. If the discriminating minds depend on things only through the attention of experiencing things, then the experience will become the very nature of the thing that appears as it is. If one follows the nature of one's own habitual tendencies, then the dependence on things themselves will also disappear, because they are mutually contradictory. Since they are not part and subsequent relationship, one cannot say that what appears from experience is the thing itself, and what appears from one's own habitual tendencies is the opposite.
