Because Sakya Pandita (Sapan) will elaborate on this here, it is not what has already been explained that can show it. However, it shows that it is merely of the nature of excluding others. The so-called "unmixed" means not mixed with variegated colors, swans, and other appearances. Among them, one is also unrelated to all. All are also unrelated to one. Among them, all depend on being unrelated to one, thereby establishing the universal. For example, all the differences of variegated colors, etc., are not mixed with horse. Therefore, there is no horse in variegated colors, nor in yellowish-brown, and similarly, not in other appearances. Because in each appearance that is not a horse, the horse does not exist in each individual. The unrelatedness of cows, etc., to horses becomes a universal, because it is absent in each individual. The explanation for this is the so-called "unmixed." For that one and the various different things, in the manner described above, being unrelated to one is the dharma of the universal. Even so, the counter-entity does not become a universal, because variegated colors, etc., do not individually lack what is not a cow, so it cannot be said to be a universal, because some exist. The so-called not a cow means that it is absent in each individual, not that it possesses some. Precisely for this reason, such a counter-entity is the seed for universal cognition, as previously shown, and will be established in the future. Therefore, the meaning is that various different things are the same in being unrelated to one, and this is the meaning of the universal. Being unrelated is merely the absence of relationship, how could it truly become a universal? Therefore, this is said in this way according to the thinker's idea. In order to establish what has already been said more extensively, "furthermore" is said. By relying on the excessive attachment of the mind that obscures the self-nature of others with its own self-nature, it is vehemently proclaimed that the universal exists. One's own self-nature also depends on attachment, is the meaning of the word itself, and is also the object of inference itself. Whatever says that the universal is the meaning of the word itself and the object of inference itself, etc., that is proclaiming the existence of the universal, and this is also determined by the idea of the mind that obscures the self-nature of others with its own self-nature. The meaning has become other.

However, by what means does the mind, which imposes and displays its own nature in accordance with its own self-nature, is said to obscure the nature of others with its own nature. The nature of others that depends on the mind is the external object itself. Moreover, precisely because it obscures its own nature, it transforms into another, therefore it is said to impose its own nature on that which has transformed in that way. If one asks, regarding the imposition on that which has transformed into another thing, how has its own nature transformed here? The answer is, it is called "appearing as one." This indicates that the nature of the mind is non-different. The plural word "things" indicates that these things are mutually different. The so-called difference refers to the contradiction with different kinds. Here, the reliance on them is because of the way it was previously explained, and thus it is even more attached. Its meaning is: the nature of a cow, the various appearances of cows, only on those various appearances, arises the conceptual thought of "it is a cow," having the aspect of the non-different appearance of the nature of a cow. Moreover, because it is even more attached to the nature of things, it will obscure things. Now, in order to show how it is generally promised by the power of its intention, that is, the false nature of obscuring the nature of others with its own nature, although things themselves are different, they obscure the difference itself, and things appear as if they are not different with the nature of cows and so on. By the very nature of the mind obscuring the nature of others, when things are different, but the absence of difference is excluded, the meaning is that it is dependent on that mind that general designation is made. Shouldn't it be said that because of delusion, even different things appear as different, therefore, relying on it, the general characteristic is indicated as the object? What is the meaning of saying that one's own nature obscures the nature of others? How can it be meaningless? Because the nature of delusion should also be explained. How does this understand the different things as non-different? If the non-different self-nature does not exist in the external object, then what should be said is what is excluded? "The mind appearing as one." Through this sentence, it is explained that it is the nature of the mind.
