Because there is no such thing. Even in the absence of conceptualization, it exists, so it is uncertain. If the essence of the object is recognized, then fabricating something else is unreasonable, because it is not a valid cognizer. If it is said that the past essence of the object itself is even more certain as the object of previous sight, so it is non-existent, then it is not so, because there is no seeing of how the object is, so at the time of knowledge that is the object of non-existence, it is not because of non-existence, because even if the all-knowing sees things as they are, it will fall into the fault of becoming the object of non-existence. Furthermore, if the past time is understood, if one clings to the object of the past time itself, at that time itself, then it will become meaningless. Even so, it will become undesirable, becoming the object of things. If it is not an object, then because there is no understanding of the past thing, how can the past itself become non-existent? Therefore, for that which becomes a non-object by the very nature of the object, for that, nothing will be understood. Furthermore, even when things appear, why is it not appropriate that the way they appear is also the recognition of the image of the object? Because no one wants to become the very form of knowledge. It is true that the nature of knowing exists as things become as they are, but even so, the image of knowledge is knowledge itself, and from that, knowing things themselves is also contradictory. Therefore, even if all the dissimilar aspects of phenomena are examined, it is not entirely desirable to have the nature of things, and if it is said that it is not because of hatred, then if it is said that it is admitted to be fabrication itself, then even if it is examined for a long time and the parts of the examination are distinguished, even a little bit of the brilliance of the appearance of things is not tainted, because the expression of saying that things are known is not abandoned, so what can be done about this? When the appearance of things is also suitable to become knowledge itself, who admits that the image is fabrication itself, what is the reason for admitting this and then eliminating the image itself? The so-called knowing things is not just words, but only appearance. That also, if it does not become apparent, it is unreasonable, therefore, what is apparent in this, if it is the very uncommon nature of things, then at that time this is only things, not knowledge. At what time is the nature of such appearance the image of knowledge

When the law of image is established, what can determine that it is different from consciousness, and distinguish it as being of a different nature? If it is said that it is the function of the thing itself, then this must be determined through association with the function of the thing. Therefore, when these two, the images of cause and effect, appear in the mirror like trees and flames, how can one know that these are the cause and effect themselves, and not the images of cause and effect? Therefore, it is impossible to determine that conceptualization is different from the clear nature of appearance, or different from the nature of other consciousnesses. If it is thought that it is determined in this way because it is different from the nature of clarity, and therefore the thought "this is consciousness" arises, thereby producing the thought "this is a thing," then how can this cognition that "this is a thing" not appear in a way that is not common with consciousness while still being cognition? There, it is also impossible to truly recognize the image itself, so this cognition does not exist. If it is said that even if it is uncommon, recognizing it as uncommon, does it not become completely uncommon? Indeed, but recognizing it as uncommon is not like recognizing uncommon pus. Therefore, what is the cognition that recognizes that consciousness cannot be real, and this is what needs to be refuted and examined here. Therefore, since the nature of such knowing does not exist, it is only non-existent. Is a thing not established through experiencing cognition? Indeed, but since the thing to be cognized does not have the clear light of an uncommon nature, and since the thing to be cognized has no difference, therefore the difference of cognition cannot be established, so it is said that this is merely attachment to something that is not the nature of that consciousness. By the way, this negates the objectlessness of that consciousness. Then, how can it become the nature of attachment to a thing without recognizing the nature of the thing? To this it is said: For this, without recognizing the own nature of the thing, clinging to the image of conceptualization as the nature of the thing, clinging to the own nature of the thing, appearing as a self-righteous thing, is consciousness.
