Since it is fundamental, even if the purpose is not achieved, it will only be certain, what else can it become? Therefore, since the fruit of the purpose itself separately determines the purpose, because the purpose is understood as it is, inference is valid, therefore, the two kinds of nature relationships are closely arranged together. Therefore, establishing the doctrine is like closely arranging the relationship in this way. That certainty will be established by the very absence of others, such as "is it the entity of cause and effect?" Whoever infers in the same way as that, it will also become like that, since there is no confusion about the object in direct perception, it is not valid, however, because from the power of its own cause, the nature of the object's clarity is valid for the object. For that very reason, in order to respond to the doubt that "without determination, seeing blue and understanding it as blue, it is not because it follows without being confused about blue like inference," it is said that "direct perception itself is also valid." Because inference is not only unique, as long as direct perception exists, if the purpose is not confused, then it is valid. Furthermore, what is this "without confusion" a valid measure? Or is it the cause of a valid measure? Or is it the thing that distinguishes a valid measure? For the time being, it is not a valid measure, because a valid measure is knowledge with non-deception, and it is distinguished only by the nature of the manifestation of things. Nor is it a cause, because from the very cause of a valid measure, the very nature of the valid measure can be accomplished. Nor is it a distinguishing thing, because the purpose can be determined only by the appearance of the non-erroneous purpose, so distinguishing the valid measure is meaningless. Similarly, direct perception, which is the nature of determining the purpose, also arises from its own cause. Even if it is established as the valid measure itself, it can also be established by the nature of the manifestation of things. If it is said that direct perception and inference are established as valid measures in order not to deceive the purpose because they do not arise without a purpose, and that is also the very nature of not being confused about the purpose, then it is unreasonable, because these two things that show the object will depend on the very non-deception of the purpose, so the very non-deception will become a part of the distinction, so for the purpose, not

What's the use of confusion? Because it is a branch of that (wisdom) itself. That is the establishment of how these things become special self-natures. Therefore, the thought here is: These (concepts) that do not depend on the power of things cannot be fully revealed because knowledge and things are different. If there is no self-nature of it, how to experience it? If there is no meaning, it will not arise, and this is the power of things. Therefore, understanding things through direct perception or inference, one must undoubtedly understand that without its meaning, it will not arise. If it is said that direct perception directly understands things, isn't that so? It is not only direct perception, but also in the absence of measure, there are well water and so on in other places. Just understanding will not change that, so it must rely on reason. Knowledge itself without examining things cannot establish meaning. If it is said that because knowledge points to things, that (thing) is established from that (knowledge), then it has been clarified that meaning is established from clearly seeing, etc., because it has been determined in that (treatise). If that is the case, then what is the use of showing that the inference without confusion about the meaning of things is not confused about things because the meaning has been established? If it is said that, like this, the understanding of the meaning of existence established through the thing itself is true, but the measure of that (inference) itself must also be distinguished. That (measure) can be established through its own dharma, because other dharmas do not establish other self-natures. If the measure itself is determined because it is not confused about things, then the inference of obtaining self also becomes doubt because it has not been determined as a measure. If you say so, the inference that has not arisen is not produced by the power of things, however, this (inference) is a measure because it is not confused about things, so it can understand things, and it arises through saying so. If you doubt how the measure of direct perception is not confused, then saying that it is not a measure in other aspects is because there is no that (thing). Arising without meaning is because it is confused about that (thing), because it will be reversed.
