If someone asks, if the certainty called "three" is unreasonable, then the answer is: it has already been said in the scriptures "elsewhere." If there is no explanation of certainty, then, what are the different things, the other different things, and the certainty that necessarily exists? Because they do not obtain their essence from themselves, if they do not exist, how can they not exist? Therefore, how can it be determined that they exist? "Things with other reasons" refers to the fact that merely existence itself does not have a necessary connection. Therefore, this will become different, so it has no self-nature. "Like color on cloth" refers to the fact that if it does not have its self-nature, it cannot be determined that it necessarily exists. The "elsewhere" mentioned here has also become different from the self-nature of connection, therefore, if there are no things of cause and effect, it shows that there is no certainty of other things and necessary existence, therefore, for different things, it also has no self-nature, so it can also be said that it has no self-nature. Even so, merely not being different is not its self-nature, but it is still the self-nature of one thing. Therefore, in order to show that it does not exist, it is said in this way, because it can lead to merely existence itself and subsequent connections. Or, "elsewhere" refers to being different from the characteristics of merely existence itself and subsequent connections. The color on the cloth is a thing with other reasons, therefore, the cloth will necessarily change because of it. Merely because it is cloth, it cannot be said to be established. Therefore, the cloth will change because of the color, so the color will not be mistaken for cloth, because they have no connection. "The intermediate verses" refers to not being scriptures. Therefore, it has been proven that it is precisely through the connection itself that reasoning can be understood. Those who have other reasons also acknowledge the self-nature of things, and obtain it through the self-nature of one thing with self-natures such as impermanence. For those who abandon merely existence itself and subsequent connections, it is to refute the meaning of establishing connection. Therefore, the scriptures say "in addition." Because the characteristic of impermanence itself is the meaning of sound, it would be absurd to say that it has the nature of excluding other things, therefore, here the teacher himself clearly states: "Because there is no autonomy, it does not possess this nature."

The opponents argue that this will lead to aspects associated with that thing. When excluding in this way, exclusion, i.e., negation, means stating the selflessness or non-substantiality of other things. If that is the meaning of sound, then the sounds of pot, etc., will merely become meanings, because there is no difference in negation. The thing to be negated entirely is itself different, but negation is not, because non-substantiality has no distinction. The thing to be excluded is also not different because of difference, because there is no non-cow in the small, and there is no non-horse in the first, so even though cow and horse are different, the meaning of negation is in all respects without distinction. Therefore, it is said that the sound of cow applies to cow relying on the difference from non-cow, just as others say that sound applies to cow relying on cow itself. Therefore, for the object of excluding other things, because it is related to that thing, it will fall into the situation of one side. This is because the teacher expresses it in the terms of treatises, so these are such arguments to them, but nevertheless, it still applies through assumption. Because what is called exclusion, the meaning of the sound of exclusion, does not exist, but it is only the essence of the meaning itself. Therefore, the fault is merely non-existence. The form of the pot itself is expressed by the sound of the pot, but not all sounds become the same meaning, negation does not exclude the pot. Kinds and those related to them are different, so this fault will occur to it. The meaning of the commentary is that by saying that excluding other things also excludes other things, it explains the nature of approaching expression. Therefore, if the thing to be distinguished is not expressed, then it is unreasonable as the object of exclusion. Therefore, since the thing that has been distinguished is expressed, all expressions related to that thing will become the same, which is what is said. Because of the arising of faults, approaching expression is related to that thing, which is the explanation of the intention of the scripture. Even the thing with characteristics, like wealth, etc., is not the thing to be distinguished, nor is it the entity of the thing to be distinguished, but nevertheless, it still applies through assumption. For the aspect related to that thing.
