This is called existence. Now, in order to prove that even without superimposition, it is an object of elimination, it is explained. In some cases, a certain consciousness is discrimination. In which cases? There is no superimposition of other aspects. Where? There is no superimposition on the aspect of inversion. Therefore, it is said that the consciousness of discrimination that does not superimpose other things, does not make things indistinguishable from other things, is the object of merely eliminating. If anything other than that thing is done by the consciousness of superimposition, if it does not become indistinguishable from that thing, even so, that consciousness is the object of eliminating it. The sound of which is related to this very thing. Is this kind of subsequent inference itself something? The answer is no. It means that it has a general meaning, that is, it is an object of generality. Since subsequent inference is also an object of generality, it is distinguished by seeing. It means that the generality of the object of seeing is which, and that is the object. When blue and so on are seen directly, when the consciousness of knowing blue and so on arises, when it is taken as an object by discrimination, blue and so on become general. Therefore, here, since there is no discrimination and the form itself is taken as an object, even if superimposition is impossible, whatever enters the thought "This is blue" is not an object of generality. Since it has not become indistinguishable from it, it is said that it has the fruit of elimination. Even if this has not become indistinguishable from it, this will not be lost from the fruit of elimination. If even if it exists, it only becomes without prevention, then at that time, this will not become its fruit. Since it has already been prevented by others, when it does not exist, this will not become preventing it, because fire without cold does not lack the ability to prevent cold. Just as in the aspect of knowing, for the meaning that has already been known, the fruit of knowing itself will not be lost, the discrimination that enters after direct perception and subsequent inference also enters to eliminate that superimposition.
