It is the only one. Explaining it is "because of that." Its own nature is uncertain because of reversal, to say it completely, from reversal, arranging the cause of its nature, its essence being uncertain, nearby, because it is nearby and related, so relying on that itself being the cause, from where does it come from? Thus clarifying, so it is said to be from reversal. Here, there is no recognition of the existence of gain, or even if there is no recognition, it is not worth examining with wisdom. As it is said, in whatever way it exists, if it cannot be recognized, then the arising or cessation of these recognitions is not ignorance. For gain is also recognition itself, for this doubt, another reason's explanation is "that also." The idea is: just like from the sense organs, such as eye consciousness, etc., due to the power of things, suddenly recognizing fire from smoke is non-existent, because that is not the recognition of a sign and a sign-bearer. Therefore, that person seeking fire wants to recognize it, then that recognition exists. Therefore, whatever habitual connection there is, that also depends on grasping the connection of the sign with it, and the recollection of concomitance and contravention. Therefore, for that, it is gain itself. Like this, the process of inference is because it has a preceding intention, so in that person seeking fire, when the inference proceeds, one must seek other valid cognitions that have not entered, if it is not like that, if one recognizes through direct perception, then inference is meaningless. Therefore, one determines through the direct perception of holding the subject. Wherever fire, which has become the nature of the object of focus, is not seen, then one can only determine that there is no fire. Therefore, the statement "because that direction is far from the mind holding having fire" shows that not seeing is the definite cause. Therefore, merely knowing that the direction is empty of fire is the reversal of gaining that it is not fire. If it is like that, then when inferring fire there, will the established thesis contradict direct perception? No, because inference proceeds in a place that has not become the nature of not seeing. If one says, then for that, is there no gain of not having fire? No.

Because if the subject is not established, it will fall into the fault of the subject not being established, because one wants to say that the subject is one, because the action of manifestation is no different. Therefore, it is said that there is temporarily an imputation. For this, there is undoubtedly also doubt. For those who have no measure, because there is no effort, it will become no doubt, but if one wants to realize something, and strives to contemplate something, then there, before the measure enters, how can there be no doubt? The explanation for this is: it is called "imputing to its aspect." Imputing to its aspect, that is, the inverted discrimination, and the doubt of "is there fire or not?" Separated from these, one will not follow the sign in order to realize. If one does not realize like doubt and inversion, is it not also not following the sign? No, because for that purpose, the sign abides in the meaning of realization, and it is certain that there is doubt. Or, the latter has the nature of eliminating the object, and for the inverted consciousness that has already made the manifest attachment of "is made," what is the use? In objects such as silver, the consciousness of imputation is also discrimination, because it is the nature of eliminating the object, so it will fall into having to rely on the existence of a consciousness of an object that is contrary to it. Therefore, that is also the same aspect, therefore relying on others, it will fall into the fault of infinity. Therefore, even if there is no imputation, it will be established as eliminating other objects. If seeking the three aspects themselves is following the sign, even if it is so, because it shows "following it," it is known that following the sign is the nature of the property of the subject. Called "not realizing certainly" etc., for the meaning that has not become the essence, it is shown with the concluding verses called "therefore" etc. Called "thus" is the reason for summarizing this way. Called "extremely proclaiming that the sign is the object of elimination," this is also in accordance with the meaning of the occasion of "that subject" etc. The summary called "here" etc., is elsewhere called "the subject."
