Or, depending on the statement "pervading with one intellect." The sounds and reasons of refutation and examination are established as having the object of excluding others by the very entry of sound and other valid cognitions. Those sounds and reasons are what realize the exclusion of others, because for the sake of oneself, other sounds and valid cognitions enter. Although the initial ones become having the object of excluding others, they are sound and other valid cognitions. How is it? For that reason, the previous statement is quoted. Then, how are the initial ones initially having the object of excluding others? For that reason, the later statement is quoted closely. Like this, the previous one is not pervasive of all things either, because for that which has entered, the later also enters. Similarly, the later ones also, for that which has previously entered, focus on one aspect of things. In the manner to be explained, it is unreasonable to say here that it is not having the object of excluding others. Therefore, in either order, because sound and reason enter, it is the very nature of having the object of excluding others. Thus, here, for the object of excluding others itself, this is the reason of nature, and for preventing the realization of the nature of things by establishment, it is observed by contradictory pervasion. Whatever enters by becoming another valid cognition, or enters into one meaning into which another valid cognition enters, that is the object of excluding others, and it is not grasping things by establishment, like the knowledge such as "this is not blue" or "this is not non-momentary," and so on. The knowledge that sound is impermanent also enters by becoming another valid cognition, or enters the object of another valid cognition. The subsequent going and reversing are from relation, and that is obtained by discriminating the nature of the entry of other valid cognitions. Saying "like this" means "in this way." What other part is there of the nature of the essence of things, which is to be examined by valid cognitions? Because of seeking examination, the entry of valid cognition is not autonomous, because it enters dependent on that. That is also subsequent inference. That is not established without finding the respective objects of each self, so what is that part of the meaning that has become like that? Is it not to examine that meaning itself, or another part of it?

Then what should be done? Saying "no" refers to what is manifest. Things that are not manifest cannot be examined. Therefore, if it becomes manifest, it is necessary to state others as the basis for examination. If it is said that the manifest itself has a manifest component, which can be examined, then saying "no" refers to "one." It is impossible for "one" to have other components, that is its meaning. If the thing itself is not clear, but the knowledge with a similar aspect to it is clear. If it is only similar in one aspect, then will one aspect of it become manifest? Saying "no" refers to "self-nature." In the appearance of other modes of existence, the thing itself will become clear, because in its own mode of existence it is the agent, so it is like the agent itself. Therefore, it is not clear in one aspect, but like the agent. Then, since the object of sight itself is the object of examination, it is meaningless to find other separate realms, therefore it is said "unseen." Because taking what is seen as the object, it is meaningless to examine through what has already been understood, so it is reasonable to examine the unseen object. This negates the view that the self-nature of things is understood by establishing other valid cognitions. Its entry depends on the establishment of the subject by the manifest. Therefore, it is impossible for the property of the subject not to be manifest, because everything is understanding, what else can be understood by establishing other valid cognitions? "Of things," etc., is the explanation. That is not manifest. The meaning of other valid cognitions entering is that it is unique and established by the manifest. The explanation of the certainty of establishment is, if the subject is not established. For example, when impermanence is to be established, sound is unique and established by the manifest. What will that become? The explanation is: Therefore, that unique one is established only by the manifest, so all aspects will be established here. Establishing that tenet is "for that." Other than that which is established is not established, because in the context there is no aspect of that unique one. However, if there is an aspect of non-establishment, then it is not the self-nature of that unique one.
