Therefore, the words "Thus, etc." are for placing the entities that reside in the two chapters that have been explained. How many entities are empty of the nature of another entity in one entity, that many are the reverse entities in dependence on that other entity. Because there are so many entities, it does not have so many, so for it, there are not so many entities, that is its meaning. The explanation of the reason is that for one entity, where the cause and effect that it does not have exists, that is the nature of the other entity. Mentioning cause and effect also indicates natures such as blue. Because that entity is different from those entities. By the very cause and effect that one entity does not have, it is said to be empty of the nature of the other entity. Because they are different, this is not in the other, so the other is not in this, and that is also the reverse entity. The so-called number of reverse entities is that how many entities it does not have, sounds, etc., also become that many. These are not different because the places of nature and entity are different. The said "is" refers to having the meaning of terms. If there is a need, it is, if there is no need, it is not. If it changes itself, then it does not need to depend on the need, just like direct perception. How to combine the ultimate places of difference with terms, that is the explanation of "its cause," etc. The so-called "newly produced" is to abandon that which is not its cause. The so-called "heard" is to completely abandon that which is not its effect. The explanation of the meaning of the third chapter is "therefore." The so-called "name" is sound. The so-called "dharma" is the nature of discrimination. Just like towns, horses, people, livestock, etc., it is summarized with "and." Or, the said "dharma" is "name." The sound of dharma only indicates entities, such as "all dharmas are without self." If it is accepted as a proof for understanding, it belongs to sound. Sound and conceptualization, because they themselves are different meanings, are its parts, so in accordance with it, with the nature of discrimination, because there is no confused place, so one aspect of the proposition is not a reason, what is said is "therefore."

Therefore, just as it has been established, it approximately shows this different meaning. Now, in order to shape the argument, the refutation of "sound" etc. is also presented. Even though things are naturally different from other things because of abiding in their own nature, but due to the power of illusion, it becomes indistinguishable from the nature of other things, how is it known that the distinction of its own nature is understood through sound and correct reasoning when it is eliminated? By proof, the self-nature of things is not only so, but abandoning the path that has been eliminated, it is the understanding of things themselves only through the proof of understanding self-nature. For example, "This is blue" is merely understanding the self-nature of things, and "This is not blue" is understanding it by eliminating blue, so it can be understood that these two actions are different. Because you say that distinction is objective in all cases, it will also be said that thinking "This is blue" is its objective. Therefore, if it is said that the consciousness of this kind of self-nature is not merely understanding self-nature, but has different objectives, then what is the reason for this? In order to refute this necessity, there are "other measures" etc., measure is reasoning, and sound is what one says oneself. Therefore, how is it known that the distinction is understood through sound and correct reasoning? This has been said, this is refuted by relying on reasoning. Therefore, since the reason has become another measure and the sound has become another, when entering, the sound and correct reasoning themselves are the object of distinction. The reason completely depends on the dharma, so it enters through the meaning recognized by perception. Therefore, this enters by becoming another measure. Similarly, when the sound enters depending on the dharma recognized by perception, the sound that enters following the inference is another sound, so another sound enters. Therefore, this, which is in accordance with the argument that "the self-nature of meaning is one," is established as the reason. From inference there are also things, or in other cases, the thing itself is the same, sound
